Hating a popular Pokemon that everyone you know loves

Okay guys, it needs to be said

I hate Wooper from Pokemon

I mean it's not my least favorite Pokemon or anything (that goes to Sunflora and I've actually realized I don't dislike Sunflora as much as I used to lol) but it reminds me of him

Who's "him?" Where do I begin about the guy I rejected over and over

and over

and over

and over

and over?

"I've got a partner" (I did at the time of a good chunk of those rejections)

OKAY SO I GET CONFESSING AND NOT KNOWING THE PERSON YOU'RE CONFESSING TO IS IN A RELATIONSHIP BUT WHAT

I didn't even tell him when I was single again because there was a nonzero chance of this info leading to more uncomfy confessions and him thinking he had a chance (he never did)

You have no idea how glad I was to finally cut him off sometime after he repeatedly spammed messages in my streams (in his defense he was the only chatter until about halfway through when one of my new moderators timed him out for seemingly getting weird with someone else in chat) and then was like "I'll be back later haha" no you weren't

This guy thought he was entitled to know my cat died the day before one of my streams 💀

"Why didn't you tell me your cat died?" BECAUSE IT HAD JUST HAPPENED NOT EVEN 24 HOURS BEFORE?!

It was his Discord profile picture at one point and he was always drawing Wooper

I think Wooper getting a regional form for Scarlet/Violet was kind of a letdown for me not because I already wasn't a Wooper fan to begin with but because it just gave him more Wooper to draw while getting rejected by me once again

So you hopefully see why I don't like Wooper 😭

Because of one person who did not understand boundaries

It sucks because Wooper is cute (and I do like the Paldean one because it's moreso specifically the original one I associate with this guy) and I do get why people like it

But I just can't look at Wooper the same again 😔

I never actually want to hate a Pokemon because I know it's someone's favorite Pokemon out there but I don't think the damage done to Wooper for me is entirely reversible. I have hope because I'm starting to like Sunflora more but it's not a lot for Wooper.

Anyways thank you reading my ramble about why I don't like a popular Pokemon. I am actually open to talking about Wooper believe it or not. Just know that I probably don't have anything positive to say about it other than "it's cute."
