Today feels like a

So earlier I was repairing my cousin's laptop because I somehow broke it while we were cleaning it. It would only stay on for <30 seconds before shutting off.

I finished re-doing everything I did earlier and was not hopeful at all, as I had spent at least 5 hours total on it today, not counting the research I did to check for things.

So I was sad and not hopeful and remembered a quote from the Doctor: 

My experience is that there is, you know, surprisingly always hope.

So I took this and rebuilt the whole thing without looking back. And hoped it would work. I did one thing slightly differently.

And, ta-da, it's been on for a good 10 minutes now, running a startup repair that I can't cancel.
