semester two; green-screen workshop

This is the compiled edit from the green-screen workshop that I have worked on today. As a whole, it isn’t something that I would have personally made myself, the theme and the actions to me seem cliche and cheesy, and I’m uncomfortable seeing myself in this video (which doesn’t bode well for the film I will be making of myself in weeks to come), however the actual process of making it was very enlightening and really did lead to an understanding of Final Cut Pro, keying, and the process of putting together a film in general. 

As mentioned in the YouTube description, the visuals and the music are not by me and are not for commercial or profitable use, they were provided to me by my tutor and other members of the group who just wanted to use things they had found to inspire a film. The music is Tick Tick by Weish.

It looks like everyone from Tim De Cotta & The Warriors is present, including Audrey Tengkey-keys, Teo Jia Rong-drums/perc, Redwan Hamzah-gtr, Josiah Suthan-perc., Vignesh Mohandasa-trumpet, Bryan de Rozario-sax.  

weish (from .gif and sub:shaman) provides ethereal background vocal. Moody r&b that kicks ass when Redwan lets loose on guitar!   =D

Listen/purchase: My Wish Is Your Command Feat. Weish by Odradek & Sphaeras Feat. Weish

A mathrock-prog-metal summit on the joint release Sun Seeker by Brazil’s Odradek and Sphaeras from Singapore.    My Wish Is Your Command is a “Collaborations track featuring Fabiano & Caio of Odradek, Axel of Sphaeras and Weish of .Gif / Sub:Shaman.”

The entire album is quite insane, a must-listen for fans of math rock!  If I’m reading the credits correctly, Odradek have 3 songs (3 with vocals, one of which is in Engish), Sphaeras have 2 songs plus a collaboration with the Singapore band Two Seas.  The title track and My Wish Is Your Command feature Fabiano & Caio of Odradek and (bassist) Axel of Sphaeras.    

Weish is absolutely perfect for this crazy, haunting material. “one of the most insane collaborations i've ever done... recording vocals on a track that (literally) summoned the supernatural. still makes my hair stand listening to it...”

The album comes out Monday, listen/purchase at bandcamp.
