Welcome, weary traveler (part two),
Explanations:
• This blog has been a long time coming in its creation, and I wish nothing more than to first thank each and every single fanfic writer I had the utmost pleasure to interact with or even just read their amazing work. I truly don't think I can be here typing this up without you all and your work. I have been on this (hell)site for nearly six years, if not more, and I know I have finally garnered enough confidence to push back against my cowardice. This blog's creation is to give back and give new (deserved) support to the mlm community (writers and readers alike), just as they were all there for me for so long! And now, after a year of this idea laying dormant - though with its roots seeping into place - I want nothing more than to give back to the same community, as well.
• Secondly, I am also using this blog as a personal experiment. I hope that through setting myself to complete more creative writing that I will then strengthen my literature-esque skills. I know I'm half decent and all, but I wish for nothing more than to develop my description, character dynamics, and dialogue (so practically everything) even further. I apologize for any roughness in any of my works, I will try my best each and every week!
Expectations:
• On this blog you can expect mlm fanfic, with male character(s) x male reader work. I will always try to keep physical descriptions of the male reader to a minimum, but if any characteristics of the male reader is important to the fic (for example, male character x short male reader), then that will be noted at the start of the fic. This is also to say that I hope to write male reader race ambiguous for (hopefully) everyone to fit into (i.e., I am only Mexican and I can't check off every socially constructed box).
• Also, since I am a cis-man, unfortunately I will not be writing work that has trans masculine themes or situations in mind or is x trans male reader. But, and I hate to reiterate this because of the garbage socio-political climate we are in, trans men are men! And that's final! So, of course, feel free to stick around and enjoy a fic or two or three. And, I will be blocking any transphobes as I still wish to create a knit and loving community for those who wish to read mlm fanfiction.
• The last point also easily leads me to my next point, since this is a mlm fic blog, I will like to say that I do wish that any women to please stay off this blog. A "Females DNI (Do Not Interact)" will be on each fic as a warning. All of you have thousands-and-thousands of more fics that cater towards you all so please turn around and find one of those blogs.
• Minors are allowed on this blog as I will mainly be writing fluff and angst/comfort mlm fics, UNTIL I do happen to actual post a smut mlm fic (which will be rare). As per the standard, a "Minors DNI (Do Not Interact)" will be at the top of fics for 18+ content to forbid this interaction.
• EXPECT MISTAKES. I will be my worst critic every time before and after I upload a piece, but just note that my work will probably never get close to being perfect ever.
• And I won't be using this as an excuse for possible work, since again this is the entire point of this mlm fic blog - to continue practicing and better my writing - but I do have aphantasia(: and anendophasia(: (a double whammy)! Like all of my personal writing that I've done in the past, I won't let it hold me back!
Details about this blog:
• You can expect at least one fic every week (let me not get ahead of myself...) to be uploaded whenever the fic is done (if you were here before the edit, you are a real one)!
• A vast majority of my fics will be for less prominent male characters in media. I too am human and wish to find fanfic for my beloved male characters that aren't getting the attention and love that they deserve in fanfiction. Though, I will, of course, still dabble with more mainstream men from time to time (please, just look at Glen Powell, or Sebastian Stan, or Andrew Garfield, or Josh Segarra, or Danny Ramirez, or-).
• I can/will only ever write bottom male reader! However, I will try to give each male reader a personality in each fic to not have him shaveb down into a shell of a vessel. And also, the masterlist will updated periodically. I use it as both a means of navigation and organization for myself to know which characters I want to write for and have already written for. What I mean to say is that I am completely sure that this list isn't definitive and will expanded once I remember about another (hot) male character I feel comfortable and want to write for.
• Yes, requests are closed! I personally find that my creative writing works best when I fully manage the entire process, which includes coming up with the fic ideas. I apologize, and I do hope that I can eventually get myself to open up requests!
• I would like to note, that I consider myself a college student first and foremost, and since this is my blog, if I must miss a week then that will (sometimes) occur. I really, really wish for this not be the case and I'll achieve my minimum total of uploading 52 fics by the end of the year. Again, I will try my darndest every week, and I thank you so much for reading this (excruciatingly) long post.
My masterlist/fandom list will be uploaded once I have enough fics for it to feel warranted! The magic hasn't written, so the scattered books are all still empty.
