the trinity isnt strictly catholic tho?? it’s a mainstream catholic belief and all or almost all protestant denominations teach it as well

I feel ya man. I live on a tiny island and our branch of the church is pretty bad. I hate it when they bring up lbgtq stuff. It's like I'm ok with going as long as I don't have to listen to that shit.

left arm: 

various patterns and flowers that are just there because they're pretty. i can see him filling things in here and there with patterns and images he finds pretty, maybe to cover up some scars or just him being tired of seeing so much skin. his arms are a permanent canvas.

a capital R - a tattoo made at montparnasse's place. reason unknown. possibly made during a moment of self love and self respect while on drugs.

right arm:

more patterns. there's also a trans symbol there somewhere, not visible in any of my drawings yet though.

ad astra per aspera - i mentioned this in the second chapter. it’s a latin phrase meaning ‘to the stars through difficulty’, and it goes around the wrist of his right hand. feuilly tattooed it and it’s in his handwriting in capitals. there is a story behind it but i think i should keep that for later! there’s a backstory about feuilly and grantaire’s past together that’s starting to show itself.

blue and red lines - ok so these are going to be explained in ch13 but i’ll do a little here. the colours mean specific things, and they go red-blue-red-blue etc (example). they’re on his left forearm starting from just below the elbow like this, and at the time of ch12 there are two red lines and two blue lines.

once again love gazes at me from under his dark lashes, melting me with his eyes - ibycus - this is on the left side of his ribcage and is a quote from a classical poem. it’s in jehan’s handwriting (think loopy, think gorgeous, think slanted writers’ handwriting). yes so one night they’re all at the musain drinking after a meeting has finished and grantaire usually sits by himself at the back for those instead of with joly and bossuet when he’s feeling particularly glum. so enjolras is joking around with ferre and courf and feuilly at the front and jehan sees the look of grantaire’s face when enjolras’ eyes rest on him for a moment, and he goes over there and recites this quote to grantaire and it’s painfully true and grantaire wants to remember it forever.

thank you! i use a mix of both my ideas and vicky's junkies au ideas. since i'm making the junkiescomic i'm trying to include some junkies au designs in my work, to prepare and such! plus vicky had such nice ideas so i just tagged along.
