Ok So What’s The Big Deal About Polish Bras?

So recently one of the biggest trends in lingerie has been Polish made bras. What’s the big deal about polish made bras?  Well in Poland the lingerie industry is very different than the bra market in the way we see it today. Lingerie in Poland is built on a significantly more custom basis because women in Poland tend to have smaller ribs and larger breasts so each bra requires a lot of custom engineering. 

This is especially exciting to women who feel that they have been let down by the commercial bra industry. The commercial bra industry tends to cater pretty well to a decently small range of sizes, but if you fall outside of that range you may be able to find a bra that fits you but it can be borderline impossible at times and even harder to find a pretty bra that fits. Its frustrating to many women because who decided that this range of size is ‘normal’ when they don’t fit it. So custom made Polish bras have been on the rise. Some smaller boutiques have started carrying Polish bras (like Ewa Bien at La Petite Coquette in NYC) but there are some websites that are devoted to delivering custom polish bras right to your door. (take a look at wellfitting) Don’t get me wrong, I love my Natori as much as the next 32D, but there’s a huge group of women who are being let down by the commercial size run so I’m all for this new surge in custom bras!

Longline Demi Nude bra by Wellfitting

I had never come across Wellfitting prior to trying their Longline Demi, and I have to say, I am very glad to now know this brand. The Longline Demi is an extremely versatile bra that is not only comfortable and supportive, but actually quite subtly pretty as well.

When it comes to moulded neutral tone bras, they’re generally not the most glamorous items and have an overwhelming focus on function, quite often without even a hint of style. Not the Longline Demi. The tone of the fabric is almost pearlescent-like giving the bra a romantic vintage feel. With just the right amount of lace, ribbon, and pearl adornments the Longline Demi is very tastefully fashioned without compromising the slick and smooth silhouette of a moulded bra. The delicate decorative touches provide the perfect amount of elegance to elevate the Longline Demi out of the boring mundane realm of moulded nude bras.

The shape provided by the Longline Demi is brilliant. My boobs felt incredibly uplifted and were given a lovely rounded full shape. The demi cut of the cup provides for an adequate level of coverage but with plenty of boobage on show. Being a longline moulded bra I was given a sleek outline and also felt like I had a smoother silhouette at the back where the band sat due to the additional length of coverage. The cut of the bra is extremely flattering and provides suitable foundations for any outfit.

The fit of the Longline Bra was nearly perfect. I tried the 28 band, which in other brands is usually suitably firm, however, it did feel a little on the loose side for me (bearing in mind I do like to wear my bras on the firmer side). The cups sat rather flush against my chest, but on my larger side the cup was maybe a tiny bit snug. In saying that there was no indention, I think for comfort I would’ve maybe preferred a cup size up. Pictured I am wearing a Wellfitting size 28J (UK 28GG), next time I may be tempted to try a Wellfitting size 28K or 26L (UK 28H or 26HH). For perspective, a UK 28G in Freya and Cleo will fit me really well, so there is a little bit of a difference in fit compared to other brands. Hopefully, I haven’t made this more confusing and have somewhat clearly explained the fit haha!

After all I’ve mentioned above, the fit of the Longline Demi is still totally acceptable and extremely comfortable for wear, and the support provided is exceptional.

The Longline Demi Nude Bra, as well as Wellfitting as a brand, is a much-regarded addition to my bra collection.
