Weather update: Yup. Still raining - BUT at least there are ponies - wild Welsh ponies! 🩵

Llanddwyn's wild ponies wander across a beach beneath the island's landmark lighthouse. Wandering over the dunes, past the island's signal cannon and up to a Celtic cross that commemorates the death of St Dwynwen, Welsh patron saint of lovers.

Seeing people’s reaction to that video on facebook of that Welsh Stud sending foals to slaughter makes me wonder how they would react if they knew how many healthy thoroughbreds went through the slaughterhouse every week.

It’s called “wastage” and seen as acceptable by the racing industry.

And the saddest thing is it’s probably not even the worst outcome for those horses.
