Update/Sneak Peek: It's almost ready - chpt 3 of "Wednesday's Child is Full of... Woah"
Not sure if anyone actually reads these updates, but if you do, I am happy to announce I have entered the last round of edits for Chapter 3 of Wednesday's Child is Full of... Woah
I am committed to releasing it no later than February 8th (maybe sooner, depending on how the next two weeks go).
If you're reading this, then you've probably been waiting so patiently to read more, which is a thought that makes me extremly happy. So I have some crumbs for you today to hold you over until it releases. I am sharing the chapter title, word count, summary, beginning notes, and one excerpt of the draft.
Chapter Title: "I Think You're So Good"
Word Count: Roughly 11,000
Summary: Barclay and Vega find a punishment that works. Sora's friend at Jericho starts to notice something's up. And Vega finally teaches Sora the proper way to use her powers.
Beginning Note: So fun fact, this chapter and the next we're conceptualized as one chapter. But then I actually started writing and realized the idea was wayyyyy longer than I thought. So I had to split them up for my sanity and yours.
This chapter also got delayed because I had to put my laptop in the shop for a week and a half, right as I finished the first draft. But hey, I did it! The girls are back!
And for the first time ever, I am promising another chapter! Chapter 4 is already drafted, so I just have to edit it. No promises on a release date yet, but you can find me on Tumblr as oriongnomeo for updates and sneak peeks.
The blonde woman rocked the bundle of blankets in her arms.
“Shh-shh-shh.” She cooed, clearly exhausted, bagged eyes and a T-shirt covered in stains.
The other woman’s hair was dark and loose, but she didn’t look much better.
For a moment, the baby seemed to settle. And then it wailed like a banshee. Sora could see the little thing squirming in its swaddle.
“That’s it!” The blonde stood, tucking her baby to her chest. “Wednesday Addams, if you don’t take us to the hospital right now, I swear we’re getting a divorce.”
The brunette- Wednesday smirked, rising with her wife to calmly take the baby, “There is no need for dramatics.”
“I’m not dramatic.” The mother pouted, releasing the crying baby without a fight, “She’s been crying for two hours straight. We’ve tried everything.”
As if responding, the baby screeched, protesting being transferred,
“She is torturing us.” Wednesday smiled, kissing her daughter's forehead.
