So in Irish, Athas means “joyful” or “happy.”
That is all.
Frosted Flakes, Life, Honey Bunches of Oats
Sorry for taking awhile! It's been a busy time!Frosted Flake people are similar to someone who likes Big Macs in the sense that Frosted Flakes is a cereal you can get no matter where you are. It is ubiquitous and so people who are into Frosted Flakes often avoid risks but are also possessing of a certain amount of humility. They are a little more joyful than their Corn Flake cousins.Life people are often repressed in some way. They have that lattice outside, but that sweet inside. A life person can often see underlying qualities in others and tends to project a tranquility. This is the cereal that many wallflowers or nerds eat, but actors or people with rich inner lives may also appreciate this cereal.Honey Bunches of Oats people either deal in moderation or chaos. Some people favor the HBO's because it combines texture, flake and sweetness and they dig the unpredictability. Others, because none of these factors are too strong and they seek a respite from extremes. In this bowl, I see a quiet, moderate person - maybe someone who is attempting to have those qualities within and enforce that quietness on the outside. I used to live in Tokyo and I had a teacher who was talking about how people maintain their privacy over there when there were so many people around. She told me people created their own walls and their own privacy internally. I see this sort of person as doing the same. I hope you let some milk in the cracks from time to time though!
23 vintage weight gain ads that send a misguided message about women's bodies.
Super interesting article about the times when skinny was considered unattractive. She makes a very good point. All societal pressures or expectations that say we have to look a certain way are equally bad. Being happy and healthy should be enough!
"Over the past couple of decades, the media has warped women’s perception of their own bodies, vehemently convincing them that a slender physique is the ideal. What some might not realize is that it wasn’t always this way. In fact, there have been eras in history, namely the 1930′s and 1950′s, where skinny was considered unattractive.
Some women’s ears might perk up at this notion of curves being en vogue, and we can’t say we totally blame them for it, as staring at images of waif-thin models and actresses can be damaging. But the idea that what a women’s body should look like goes in and out of trend as easily as kitten heels is deeply disconcerting."-Lauren Valenti
