Kristen Schaal discusses the double standard with the “dad bod” trend.
THANK YOU KRISTEN SCHAAL
Told my boyfriend I was having a bad day and he said “you wanna go to Barnes and noble?”
it really doesn’t get more romantic than that.

#remember when sookie was played by a fat actress and there were literally no jokes about her weight on the show? #remember how she wasn’t defined by her weight? #remember how she got to date and get married and have kids and not be just the token funny fat friend of the main character? #remember when she ~got her life together and was happy before lorelai and that wasn’t seen as threatening?
remember how her insecurities (which she did have, because doesn’t everyone?) had nothing to do with her appearance and were more about her artistic failures, her ability to be a mom, her “annoying quirks” she thought Jackson would get tired of?
remember how even though she was often clumsy forgetful and disorganized she was still portrayed as a competent adult? remember how her decision to get married and have kids didn’t diminish her career as a master chef and entrepreneur? remember how she was a bubbly and funny supporting character without being shallow or unintelligent?
👏👏👏👏
Scooby Doo has great life lessons to teach:
If something evil is happening, it’s probably an old white man trying to make money.
Abortion. Yeah, we do that.
Carafem
That’s one of the advertising slogans used by Carafem, an abortion clinic opening this week just outside of Washington, D.C. The clinic plans to approach abortion as a straightforward part of women’s health care, hoping to make the procedure a streamlined process that is easy to access.
Carafem will provide the abortion pill to women who are less than 10 weeks pregnant. Patients will be able to book appointments — offered on evenings and weekends, as well as during weekdays — through an online portal or via a 24-hour hotline manned by multilingual staff members. The clinic also promises a short procedure time of around one hour, and a lower-than-average price point of approximately $400 for an abortion.

ICARUS AND I ARE SO PROUD TO TELL YOU THAT I’M PUBLISHING A BOOK!!!!
Ok, so maybe icarus is less excited than me, but YOU ALL should be SO EXCITED!!!
The book will be YOUR QUESTIONS and MY ANSWERS and art by tons of AWESOME ARTISTS.
Can you imagine - a health and sex-ed book written by someone who believes that your body is inherently good, worthy, and deserving?
Can you imagine - a health book with pictures of bodies LIKE YOURS. Bodies that aren’t just white, cis, able-bodied, skinny, and hetero?? Bodies that ACTIVELY SUBVERT THAT IMAGE OF THE “NORM”.
Can you imagine - a sex-ed book that is sex-positive, respectful, and straight forward? A sex-ed book that gives you all the info you never learned in health class - the stuff you WANTED to know.
Can you imagine - a health book with art by tons of different artists, artists from different cultures and backgrounds and genders and races and ethnicities? Artists who are just as varied and talented as you all?
DO YOU SEE ITS CONNA BE AMAZING?!!
Now here comes the plea. I write this blog all on my lonesome, for free, in my after-work time, WHICH IS FINE AND I LOVE IT. Buuttttttt, I can’t ask the incredible and talented artists I’m working with to do the same. This is the first time I’m putting up a donate button, but I’ve decided to cave because I really want the best for this book and therefore you and the artists. Will you help me?

BREAKING: Trevor Noah is your new ‘Daily Show’ host
Trevor Noah isn’t the biggest name in comedy — but he’s about to become the most talked about comedian in the country. Noah, a 31-year old comedian from South Africa, is the new host of The Daily Show. Here’s what Jon Stewart had to say about the selection.
Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae opens with four bros in a tent. These bros, who are camping out in the wild because their car has broken down and they need to fix it so they can get back on their brotastic road trip, are immediately a blast to watch, a boy band with silly faces and even sillier names: There's the smart one (Ignis), the boyish one (Prompto), the beefy one (Gladiolus), and the moody one (Noctis). They've got a surprising amount of chemistry. I want to hang out with them more.
Jason Schreier for Kotaku Final Fantasy XV, I want to love you so much. But why with the bros?
Bring consent out of the bedroom. I think part of the reason we have trouble drawing the line ‘it’s not okay to force someone into sexual activity’ is that in many ways, forcing people to do things is part of our culture in general. Cut that shit out of your life. If someone doesn’t want to go to a party, try a new food, get up and dance, make small talk at the lunchtable—that’s their right. Stop the ‘aww c’mon’ and ‘just this once’ and the games where you playfully force someone to play along. Accept that no means no—all the time.

I’m sorry, I have a very busy Sunday planned and won’t have time to get together.
"Dad, will you take pictures of me on the roof with a bow and a coffee pot?"
Fantastic.
