can i say just how much i agree 100% with everyone you said with minerva?? i was salty and STILL am bitter about it fl;sdkfds
Listen, I absolutely despise Minerva as a character. I don’t think she deserved a redemption, especially because she did nothing to actually go through the redemption process. Like, Gajeel wasn’t immediately trusted by anyone and actually had to prove himself for what he did. Laxus was banished from the guild and had to actually think about what he did and then proved himself by saving his former guild--risking his life for them. Jellal has been constantly punishing himself for what he did.
Hell, Juvia had to prove herself! Ultear realized she was wrong and eventually sacrificed most of her life to save people she once tried to hurt/people she never even met.
This isn’t me hating Minerva because she’s a woman, this is me hating Minerva because she never did shit to deserve forgiveness beside have a tragic backstory.
Like, every time I try to like Minerva, I think about the Naval Battle and how she beat Lucy half to death, toyed with her, and laughed about it, then I remember she’s kind of human garbage.
The difference between Gajeel and Minerva (who have similar storylines in a way) is that Gajeel actually tried to make it up to the people he hurt, and Minerva was immediately forgiven after threeish arcs of trying to murder Erza.
Plus, her redemption doesn’t further the plot of FT so it was kind of pointless anyway and, in my opinion, was only included to pair up Sting and Rogue because god forbid they be gay.
