Making an au of an au again but Truthless is the were-clown... Mayhaps a little more malicious as he was sent to get rid of the king by an entity's contract for his own freedom.
Idea in question
An entity that collects anomalies to use for his deals, released Truthless on a servant's desire to see the king gone. However the wording of what he must do can be twisted...
The king suffers from continuous agonizing body pain which is only partially relieved through drinking excessive pain dampening potions.
The recluse feels a sort of twisted kinship towards the pitiful king.

The knight is cursed because they as a human they are an asshole, as a knight they follow Knight Rules and are extremely chivalrous but have the classic werewolf "can't remember or control themself as a wolf" thing. That's why the wereknight has an umbrella instead of a sword. To prevent maiming.
The wereclown is 100% aware and in control of themself. I think wereclowns are just a species in whatever story they're gonna be in and the inspiration behind horror clowns.
Wereclown thinks the knight is funny and hangs out with it sometimes. Has somehow convinced the knight they are not a monster and therefore recieves chivalry. This is more than some muggers can say.
Wereknight is more or less same height as human form. Short/stouter build. Also more solid than people expect since getting cursed. Usually covered with some degree of dried blood.
Wereclown lives in the area. Sees clown form as true self but enjoys larping as a human with a normal life/job.
The wereknight transforms by the metal coming out through her skin which is where all the blood comes from. Somehow doesn't bleed out every time. If attacked may unwittingly transform (at least partially) to protect themself.
Wereclown went to clown college. The other wereclown (that isn't memory-drawn Renn) is an old college buddy

This one’s for the later part of the story, where Renn starts to accept the wereclown part of himself, and that his friends accept him too. All the cool folks he wants in his life are among the freaks and weirdos of the world, and it’s fine if he’s one too.
Also ‘Go and keep it locked inside the walls / For the werewolves only to behold’ is extremely fitting, cuz at first the only person Renn is comfortable changing around is his werewolf friend, Victoria :P
So I figured it’d be fun/convenient to add some size shifter elements to Renn.
Anytime The Clown takes over or embarrassement triggers a transformation, he’s the full 13ft. When he’s first starting to use his power on purpose tho, he can’t quiiite access his full potential.
The cause? Well, Renn carries a lot of shame, and his reluctance to embrace whimsy and silliness puts him in his own way. Hard to act like a toon when you’re scared to be one, y’know?
He has the potential to change size at will, but he’s gonna have to grapple with a few things before he can get there.
