Werewolf!Neil au but instead of turning into a bloodthirsty normal wolf, he turns into a manned wolf.

Neil Josten gets to PSU and suddenly there's a manned wolf walking around town... Only Andrew and Renee are able to add two and two. The rest of the Foxes make the connection between the sightings of a scary thing that kind of looks like a messed up fox and them beginning to win matches and start calling the manned wolf their good-luck-charm.
Kevin is terrified of the thing. He doesn't make the connection either (until Jean spells it out to him in the banquet, just like in canon) but he grew up terrified of manned wolves since he met Nathan Wesninski in the Nest so he absolutely hates how calm the rest of the foxes are around the beast and how they joke about it bringing them luck.
