Rosaria Pack - Werewolves in Town

it's actually really beautiful how this pack came to be, and i'm glad i could watch it happen from the very beginning cuz all of these lovely ladies are very close friends who've been there for me and vice versa.

out of the six, only one isn't a werewolf (but that never stops a werewolf from bringing someone into a pack, lemme tell you) but they are like the sisters to my pack and we all hang out as a big, fat group literally all the time. you wanna have fun? they're your girls. you were wronged and wanna get back at someone? they're your girls. you feel hella down and need a confidence booster? they. are. your. girlsssssss!1!!

she and i were friends all the way back in middle school, when i first moved in from out of town. i had lived in new orleans for a few years with extended family and before that i lived in romania, so i wasn't too familiar with american suburbs but she along with our mutual friend, brayden, were like a trio of the coolest mfs ever and she was the one who got me to audition for dance and recommended me to the school's music group.

when high school came around and a lot of crazy shit happened, we both graduated and she ended up staying in town while i went to europe for a two year program before traveling back to transfer for the rest of my bachelors, contact wasn't top tier but it's not as if we grew apart, we just preferred texting and knew we'd catch up about anything big when i got back to america.

her family were werewolves but were only close with like one or two families who were in the know, so lottie hung around a ton of normal people and couldn't talk about it much with anyone (i didn't know shit at the time). but it all eventually got discussed after europe.

then came yazzy, benni, and glo.

my literal knight in shining armor after moving to europe, i swear to god, she was the catalyst for me being as confident as i am. i had been to france before but living there on my own was slightly terrifying and when we happened to be in the dorms right next to each other, she became an instant friend.

we were apart of a larger group but after "The Cabin" incident, that group dwindled down to only four of us. and that incident was the only reason i discovered she, along with the other two, were werewolves. let's just say their fur kept me from freezing to death. . . and from there, they explained the supernatural world to me and so opened up this whole new world i had never known i was teetering on for years.

i took it pretty well (cuz they literally saved my life so) but even then, yazzy had been such a great friend to me in those years that it didn't make me feel any less love for her. she took me to parties, made sure i didnt take any bullshit from people, loved going shopping with me, and we always had the time of our lives ok?

bernadotte is such a cutie pie, honestly. but she's also smart and hates a lot of people so it only lasts as long as she's with us lwkkkk. during "The Cabin," she got serious hella quick and made a lot of good calls that ended up keeping us pretty safe, but she was also the most scared of my reaction to her being a werewolf :((((.

but before all that, we met at a study group and officially met a party thrown by one of our old friends. she's the planner type so she was always running around, but when yazzy pulled her aside, we actually ended up talking for a little while and planned hang outs afterwards. she helped me with studying from time to time and we got wayyyy closer after that first winter semester.

when she and the other girls moved to the same college as me back in america, she becomes a lot less agitated with the people there (maybe she just hates the french idk) and organizes something with anyone available like damn near everyday. she's the type that is always out having fun and yet always has all As, no struggle. . . that bitch.

glo and i met through benni at a party and she and i found a common interest in dance. she used to be a cheerleader in high school but is just in a hiphop dance team when in france, says she hates the way they do cheer there. she is a no-nonsense girl thru n thru. she also is so overly annoyed by men,,, it's always hilarious when she insults one down to his damn soul and then skips away w me to lunch or smth.

another worried wolf over "The Cabin" but she figured i was cool enough to at the very least not tell anyone (she sure threatened me tho) and was more than smug to yazzy and benni when i said i'd still be friends with them all. she's a very "head on a swivel" kind of person and is pretty perceptive when it comes to a lot of people, and is not afraid to treat someone the way she wants based on intuition.

ANOTHER PARTIER!!!!! my europe years are full of parties and drama good lord. . .

she was the most reluctant to travel to our college in america, but figured if she got a full ride scholarship, she'd pack up and move in a heartbeart. and low and behold. . . she's honestly a Bratz doll come to life and not a single soul will deny it.

ok she's from korea but ended up coming to our town around a couple years or so after me and the girls returned from europe cuz she had finished trade school and wanted a fresh scene to make music and relax away from family. we have a ton of shit in common, including music taste, and met at a concert festival where sevendust (please listen to their home album omg pleaseeee) was playing and had a ton of fun headbanging in the front row.

werewolves can smell and sense one another, so the second we walked back to my friends and boyfriends, it was literally the spiderman meme but with like the four of us there at the time. she ended up extremely intrigued and stuck around long enough to fit right in with the other girls.

also her nickname is a bit of a journey. her name is ryujin but said if she ever had an american name it'd be roxanne, and from there we'd call her roxie, then roxie moxie, and then just moxie. but she is very punk and outgoing and she easily fit right in with the rest of the girls, and our friend group as a whole.

the story of her arrival is a bit of a doozy. . .

she comes from a family of hunters, but a specific subunit called baji (nowhere related to the place), which is a kinder unit of hunters that are basically like the supernatural police; you can exist and do whatever, but if you disrupt the balance or start becoming dangerous, you're done.

there was an aggressive ass pack that came into town being followed by crazy ass hunters and both started creating trouble for the rosarias and my pack, so much so, that the beauregard family had to swoop in and start handling shit with us, in which case helaena was tasked with snooping around becoming close with anyone that could help them take down the pack and bring justice to the crazy hunters.

long story short, they helped but someone in the beauregard family who was close to her was a traitor and she was granted (forced by her father) to take a break from hunting to center herself and find peace after a life of traveling and fighting, and soon enough she became especially smitten with the five big strong werewolf ladies who loved inviting her out into town.

so not only is she the only other non-werewolf out of our large ass friend group but she became almost like a sister to me in our non-pack or werewolf centered view of the world when growing up.

so, these are the 6 women who live together and roam the wide woods on the east side of town i couldn't possibly imagine this life without.

all whom i met in different eras of my life and have helped me become the person i am today.

A misunderstood species that has been hunted almost to extinction, hunted for their inability to assimilate to what society deems "acceptable". They have been called monsters, children have been taught to fear them. But their refusal to conform and ability to survive in the face of persecution doesn't make them monsters, it's what makes them werewolves.

「 ☾ 」 ｇｅｎｅｒａｌ．．．

Transformation. To become a werewolf one must have werewolf saliva injected into their bloodstream and expose the wound to the light of the full moon. The moon will accelerate their healing and once the wound is healed the transformation will be complete. This typically happens during a full moon and transformations at other times of the month are incredibly rare and require outside intervention. Lycanthropy is inheritable as well.

Lack of Inhibitions. Werewolves experience emotions more deeply and are rarely capable of dimming their wants and needs. Werewolves will take what they want and act in ways others might see as socially unacceptable. Grudges, desires, and irritations are uninhibited and amplified in a werewolf.

Carnivore. All werewolves crave meat of some kind and vegetarian or vegan diets are incredibly difficult to maintain. Most werewolves crave red meat but it's not uncommon for some to prefer seafood. Werewolves do not crave human meat.

「 ☾ 」 ａｂｉｌｉｔｉｅｓ．．．

Wolf Form. When full wolf a werewolf is typically around 4 feet at the shoulder, much larger than a normal wolf. A werewolf can learn to transform outside of a full moon but control is more difficult the less full moons they've experienced. Eyes, claws, and teeth are the easiest for new werewolves to learn to control. Resisting a transformation during the full moon is incredibly difficult and few werewolves can do it reliably. Transformation can also be triggered by emotions like anger or fear. Full wolf transformations are rare outside of full moons and typically werewolves transform into a creature that looks like a bipedal wolf.

Enhanced Physical Abilities. Werewolves have every natural ability enhanced. This includes strength, speed, durability, agility, and senses.

Regeneration. Werewolves can heal from most injuries at incredible speeds. They are not invincible and can be killed by most things that humans are vulnerable to. Werewolves are simply more resistant with faster healing, tougher skin and bones, and stronger immune systems.

Empathy. All werewolves are capable of sensing emotions via scent. With experience and practice, werewolves can sense someone's emotions even without scent. The clarity of an emotion a werewolf can pick up depends on their closeness with the subject. Werewolves can sense another werewolf's emotions easier than with humans. It's said werewolves with close bonds can have whole conversations without saying a word.

Hunter's Instinct. Werewolves are naturally skilled at tracking and hunting. They are capable of following targets for miles with the smallest trail left behind and understand prey mentality intuitively. Werewolves have a great sense of direction and pretty much always know where they are.

Astral Projection. Werewolves are naturally inclined to the spirit world and nature magic and they can easily disconnect from their bodies to walk the spirit plane. While there they can interact with spirits, experience past events and other people's memories, as well as interact with their inner wolf. While in this plane a werewolf is split into their human and wolf forms.

Canidae Communication. All werewolves can intuitively understand and communicate with any species of the animal family canidae.

Full Moon. Werewolves become more agitated during the nights of the full moon and are more likely to follow instincts and desires more recklessly. When exposed to the light of the full moon they will be forced to transform.

Fury. The instinctual id or "inner wolf." Fury is an energy or force that makes a werewolf transform (think like qi or aura). Every werewolf has a different amount of fury they can take before a transformation occurs. The more fury a werewolf has the more aligned they are with their inner wolf and they will act more instinctual and primal. Common accelerants of fury are moonlight, anger, and fear. Werewolves can learn coping techniques to deal with and expel excess fury.

Irritations. As a side effect of amplified emotions, werewolves also have their irritations and pet peeves amplified. These temperaments will cause a werewolf's fury to increase and the causes are different for everyone. Common irritations are light sensitivity, loud noises, certain social situations, specific emotions, or textures.

for my vampire dr, it’s definitely dracula-coded all the wayyyy, the backstory is kind of confusing mainly cuz time is wishy washy for supernatural creatures in this dr; but i originally became a fledgling in late 14th century (nearing infamous dracula era) but crazy shit happened, my memory was lost and now i’m in a 18-19th century victorian mixed with rococo era destined to be swept back to the 14-15th century after my memory is recovered somehow

but vampires are a lot like vampire:the masquerade vampires (check out the clans if you wanna really know what i mean when i ever mention vampire bloodlines) and i use those clans for nearly anything supernatural related

for my werewolves dr, it’s actually a mix of some media and just my own bits and pieces of werewolf lore. funnily enough, i’m actually just a witch in my dr (think almost wheel of time) but literally damn near everyone i know is a werewolf so im basically pack now

they have different forms they can turn to, one is big ass wolves like twilight (just the form nothing else) but they can also look like van hellsing werewolves (mainly in dangerous situations or on the full moon when they can’t help it) or half-turned creatures or TW type of style with the claws, fangs, and eyes

they are born as wolves and can only bite and turn someone when fully transformed, it’s really not often though. family pack is a thing but next gens usually wanna branch off and kind of find their own pack at around 18-21, and when they do find a pack it’s close to sense8 style where they’re basically in each others mind (i’m only half tapped in cuz of my own witchy abilities and also cuz one of my moms is a were-witch so i get wolfy qualities a lot)

wolves do tend to drift towards nature and other wolves which explains why i’m friends with just about every wolf in town, but you can find them in the strangest places, three of my bffs i met in france

Yap about werewolf forms in my dr. They aren't actually this rigid, transformation is much more fluid than this these are just the most common.

"Human": No physical differences, impossible to tell they're a werewolf just by looking. Most common form and used in regular day to day life and when interacting with humans. Incredibly athletic and even new werewolves can outcompete any olympic level athlete.

"Warning": Yellow/hazel glowing eyes, sharper teeth, and slight claws. This form is commonly used between werewolves to intimidate each other or warn someone to back down before a fight breaks out. Can also be a warning that a werewolf is about to transform if they don't get themselves under control. Commonly used for tasks that require cutting or biting through something.

"Feral": Glowing eyes, sharp teeth, fully grown claws, wolf ears, a tail, and more hair on face, forearms, and legs. Common during fights with humans or when a werewolf has too much fury. A werewolf is more agitated in this state.

"Furry": Anthropomorphic wolf form. Looks like the images that come up when you search "werewolf." This can be an involuntary transformation by a werewolf with too much fury outside of a full moon. This is only used in fights with other werewolves or serious threats as it can easily kill a human. They can still think like a person but they're constantly battling wolf-like instincts.

"Wolf": A large (about 5 ft tall) wolf. Mostly occurs during full moons and rare outside of that. This is typically an involuntary form and a werewolf is most unpredictable during this transformation as they act the most like an actual wolf.
