Okay. When I was younger I was uncomfortable with the term “asexual” because it still had the word “sex” in it. Am I the only one or can other aces relate?

Hmmm personally I didn't mind the word, because that was what I saw it as, a word, that helped me explain my own orientation, and that's about it 🙈 But it's a very personal thing overall, so perhaps others can relate? 👀

Hi, I’m really enjoying the demo so far and I feel like Hermes and Pyri could totally become like, the chaos twins and having fun causing mischief with each other (cue the more stiff characters in the background facepalming at their antics)

Anyway, my question is how would the ROs react to an MC playing with their hair, once they’ve gotten to that stage in the relationship where they’re comfortable with it?

There's been a sad lack of shenanigans from those two so far, but they're definitely a thing that happens when there aren't more pressing issues, heh. Hopefully I'll get a chance to let them do their thing sometime.

As to the question:

Hades loves it. One of the few things that could relax him enough to get him dozing. He and Hekate are going to be most tempted to return the gesture, though everyone will be to at least some extent heh.

Hermes protests playfully, considering how fastidious he is about his hair, and will definitely appreciate it if PC doesn't upset his curl structure too much. But at that stage, he wouldn't be upset if they did, just pouty, probably. Complain about all the work it's gonna take to make it neat again, that kind of thing.

Charon finds it endearing. Probably just chills and makes quiet conversation, if PC doesn't mind talking.

Pyri is really bad at sitting still unless they're napping, so they're probably either out like a light or fidgeting considerably, but they do enjoy it either way, and definitely don't care if their hair is messy or ends up with braids in it or whatever else. If awake though will absolutely chat.

It would take a fair bit for Alekto to reach the stage of being comfortable with that, but once she does she's the sort who doesn't feel much need to talk or do anything else unless PC wants to. She'd just... relax, try to take a break. Maybe lay her head in their lap.

Hekate likes playing with hair a fair bit herself, but is certainly not averse to a trusted partner doing so with hers. Depending on the style it's in at the time, there may be more or less someone could do, but whatever there is she's happy to relax and allow it. Might read while it's going on, either aloud to PC or sharing her observations as she goes.

Read-Along Arcana

Do you like the Arcana Game? Do you like reading? Do you like community events?

Well, do we have news for you!

Re-introducing Read-Along Arcana where we read the Arcana routes together as a community! We think this is a good way to bring the community together and to just have some fun!

How it works is that everyone pulls up the given route on their phone and members who choose to join the stream will get to participate to read for a character in a given book. There are breaks between each book to choose new readers and stretch.

For choices, we ask people in the Discord chat to do a quick vote on which choice to choose. We’ve purchased every book, so all paid options are already available!

Please note that this isn’t supposed to be “good” or “professional” sounding, it’s just supposed to be fun. Are you a brawny man who wants to voice Nadia? Go for it. Do you wanna make it so that Vlastomil is always screaming? Screech to your heart’s content (just please not directly into the mic and don’t hurt yourself).

To Participate in the Event:

Time for the fun part!

Participation is through the Discord Call Feature. Anyone interested in joining should click the Discord link above. After gaining access to the server, we usually just socialize until the event starts.

How selection works is that we read off the list of characters in the current book and ask who wants to read for who. If multiple people want to read for the same character, we have a little system for picking who reads (and if you don’t get selected the first time, try for the next chapter!).

We have a voice channel specifically for readers and a voice channel for good ole chit chat. The reader chat is the only one playing over the story, of course, and the chit-chat chat is there for your chattering pleasure.

And, like said above, you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to want to!

​oh, it's very much not my natural color! it's the result of dyeing my hair dark purple with a very strong dye, and then letting it fade over the course of roughly a year.
