Wesley Anne Show – Dec 7
After many years in hiatus I’m returning to the live stage, starting with a comeback show at Wesley Anne, December 7. I’m really excited to play again after all these years, and I’ll be playing a mix of old songs, including some new tracks that I feel are refreshingly different. Support comes from die wunderbaren deutschen Musiker, Sleepwalker’s Station and Torben Tietz.

Finally managing to get 11 people into one restaurant that we all agree on, has space for us and is still serving food.
The delightful Kate Lucas, from Telltale and Kate Lucas Band, is playing a special solo show at Wesley Anne, Northcote from 8pm tonight.

Live Review: Applejack @ Wesley Anne, Melbourne - May 7, 2011
Just after I met Anthony, the lead singer and guitarist in Applejack, the band went on a hiatus as one of the members headed back to WA. Fast forward two months and the first Applejack gig back coincidently fell on the same weekend that mutual friend Rhys was going to be in Melbourne. After a stupid amount of alcohol the day beforehand, Rhys and I managed to get ourselves far enough past our hangovers to make the 5km trek to Northcote's Wesley Anne to see the 4pm show.
Though the crowd was tiny, the guys put on a great show, sounding amazingly tight despite only rehearsing together once in the space of a few months. Their music has an alternative folk sound, with a great sense of humour thrown in. A natural performer (you might have seen him seen him in ABC's Bed of Roses), Anthony's banter between songs is first class. I'm looking forward to catching them again soon.
