I would die for my sweet idiot son

#he thinks he's an actual literal human child #and tbh he kind of is!#my super smart sassy baby boy is just abt 10 whole months old that's fucking crazy #he ran half a 5k yesterday!!! and walked the other half!!!#I was walking the whole thing but when the others started running he wanted to go with so my housemate took him and they ran #and we both figured he'd get like 100 ft and then be done but no!!!#pack mentality took over and he ran to the halfway mark and 1/3 of the way back!!!#he stopped when they met back up with me and the other walkers and he was like oh hi mom oh wait I'm tired !#so I took him and we walked and let my housemate finish her run #god I love him so so much u guys #some times I feel like I just got lucky and I didn't do all that much but Ik that's not rlly true #I did get lucky he was a b chill personality to start with but I DID put in a lot of work training #and my friends remind me of this #most recently one friend was drunk and hugging him and rambling abt what a good job I did training him #he was happy to wander around the very loud Halloween party and say hi to everyone!!#I will admit I did almost cry a little when said drunk friend said she knows I don't think I did but that I did SUCH a good job #and she was so drunkenly sincere #and i had just stopped by to say hi after Tylenol had kicked my massive headache down enough pegs #and I was like oh okay cool I'm gonna cry and go back to sleep now #anyway I love my sweet dog and I'm rlly proud of both of us #he's so fucking silly!!!! we gave him a bowl of water w frozen peas floating in it the other day and he was SO funny #Wesley waffles

#USA news and world news all Bad this morning (continuing understatement of the year)#so here's Wes being sweet and cute and silly #tiny muppet #Wesley waffles #this morning he submitted me to the horrifying ordeal of having a conversation with and then waving our neighbor off to work #while he's in full uniform (NPS law enforcement ranger) and I am literally in my boxers with a jacket that goes down past said boxers #Wes loves our neighbor (he is admittedly very nice and we exchange baked goods)#Wes just sat down at thr end of his leash facing neighbor's truck and refused to move until he had driven off #like on one hand I rlly don't care but on the other come on buddy he doesn't need us domestically waving him off to work in literal boxers #anyway I am focusing on this while the rest of the world news and US news Is What It Is so I don't scream
