Wip fact swap! Romada is a pirate who is very much closed off and only cares about two people and just does not care about anyone else. But as the book goes on, she starts realizing that sometimes people need you to care and even though her quest is to save her lover, she ends up going out trying to save all the imprisoned people that she can and starts caring about people and trusting people. @royalbounties
@royalbounties oh, I love this sort of character plot progression! it’s great watching closed off characters open up, and learn that it’s good for her to have relations with other people! also I love pirates yes
West goes through a similar character progression! at the start of the story, the only person he cares about is Sam! he’ll do anything to keep Sam safe, even kill innocent people or do other awful things. but as the story progresses, he learns that it’s easier to keep Sam, and himself, in one piece if he starts letting people in and accepting help from others.
