do any major changes or events occur during adolescence that triggered a certain behaviour or change in perspective?              his mother’s death was hard, even if he wasn’t all that close to her. the fact that she was murdered really made the 11-year-old marinho boy scared. he was very cautious all the time and basicaly ran to the car whenever leaving school.               but people change and a harsh talk from his father at the age of 16 did change him. the head of the family had got sick of his son appearing weak all the time, that did not reflect well on the whole family. the situation was simple: learn to defend yourself, surround yourself with powerful people, make dangerous friends, and you don’t have to worry about a thing. honestly, it was a hard change for him but it really made him stronger and in two years time, the scared, scrawny kid had become a social butterfly that did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. 

how independent was and is your character?              not very but he knows how to deal with his own problems, he can’t bother his father with anything as it would make him look incapable and that is something he doesn’t want.

what is their main goal?              he wants to become even grater than his father, rule over a powerful and big company and earn millions,

when and why did they decide to join the cartel?              join would be a very strong word, he has an understanding with them. his whole family has. he is just doing what his father before him did and what his father before him did. it’s just natural.

what is their role within the gang?              he’s a lobbyist. he talks to politicians and tries to waver their stances on certain things. he pushes them to do what is the best for the cartel. as a rich and charming man, he is very capable of it. plus, the marinho name doesn’t hurt

additional thoughts?  are they happy where they are or do they     want out?              he’s fine where he is. as long as his family stays out of harm and scandals, the work relationship they have with the cartel is quite good.

do any major changes or events occur during adolescence that triggered a certain behaviour or change in perspective?           definitely the car crash that killed both of her parents when she was a senior in college. she had just started studying bio-chemistry at the university of shanghai when her parents died. this completely ruined her worth ethic and she couldn’t concentrate on her studies, her aunt took care of her the best she could but because yifei was already an adult after all, there was not much her aunt could do to make her feel better. that was when she adopted a very apathetic attitude.           the second time was the first time she got rid of a body. she was still fairly innocent at that point but she had to dump the body into acid and wait for the bones to dissolve before pouring the liquid to hazardous waste container. after that night, she realized that life was a fucking gamble and it definitely was not fair. she became more ruthless

how independent was and is your character?           she was very close to her parents and did not mind sharing her troubles with them but after the car crash she takes care of herself and doesn’t want anybody else’s help

what is their main goal?           she intends to enjoy her life to the very last second, that’s all she cares about, enjoying life, she takes what it gives her and makes the best out of it

when and why did they decide to join the cartel?           she didn’t mean to join the cartel actually, it sorta happened by accident and gradually. she was in debt and started helping out a local gang in shanghai with their crime scenes. she had the perfect record and she seemed so innocent. she knew a thing or two about chemicals and cleaning up a couple pools of blood wasn’t as horrible as she had first suspected. she became a trusted member and a number on every gang member’s phone. how she got acquaintanced with the saint paul was when her own small gang was doing somethign small for them, and what smalll here eans is murdering a couple of risk factors. she was sent to clean things up, which she did but this time she had a coworker, one of the cartel’s many cleaners, he was impressed by her resourcefulness and proposed that she’d come and join them. at first she declined but when her “normal” life made her move to boston, she started reconsidering th offer. she didn’t officially join them until couple years had passed and she had done them small gigs, but the cartel paid well and sudenly it was the only job she needed.

what is their role within the gang?           cleaner, she is a number on people’s phones. she works from the shadows and sometimes doesn’t even meet the people whose mess she’s cleaning up. 

additional thoughts?  are they happy where they are or do they     want out?           she is definitely happy where she is. she doesn’t mind her job, it has perks and h has to admit; she likes the thrill and she gets to meet the most peduliar people

do any major changes or events occur during adolescence that triggered a certain behaviour or change in perspective? ever since infanthood, saskia lived in the shadow of her older sister. the two loved each other dearly, but during early teenhood, it constantly occurred to her that victoria was the golden child of the family. how independent was and is your character? growing up, she had been highly dependent on her mother & her sister, however, upon joining the cartel, unbeknownst to them, she began to detach herself from their familial guidance.  what is their main goal? acceptance. cheesy as it sounds, when she’d been recruited, she had her first taste of what she believed to be acceptance. she was approached, not her sister. it eased her to know that she’d been acknowledged for something, & not just because she was victoria agourram’s little sister.

when and why did they decide to join the cartel? although the family was fairly well off, saskia desired a certain edge to her otherwise mundane lifestyle. kleptomania had seized her at fifteen. a watch off a bypasser, a necklace off a cafe regular, a key card for a night at a five-star hotel –– - a wallet off a man she certainly should not have even attempted to cross. she hadn’t known at the time, but alexei ovechkin had had his eye on her for some time, observing her discreet hand movements, her swift, inaudible footsteps & the determination in her eyes. at sixteen, she was young, but he saw potential. what is their role within the gang? when she’d first joined the cartel, saskia had been recruited as a thief. not long later, the cartel began using her for larger tasks, sending her out to gain information, raising her position to an extortionist. by nineteen, she is considered one of saint paul’s best at her job.  additional thoughts? are they happy where they are or do they want out? saskia is more than happy about where she is. she desires to eventually climb the ranks within the cartel – not for fame or power, but to prove to herself that she is able to earn that.

She relies a lot on her mother’s guidance and is almost incapable of doing anything very important without someone helping her. what is their main goal? She wants to become an ambassdor.

why are they in westbrook? what did they see? She has seen a lot  of bribery, scams and basically knows a bit too much about drug trafficking. It’s bits and piece from conversations and papers that she has seen in her mother’s office how has this effected their lifestyles? She used to go out every night and hung out with her friends all the time. Now she at best makes a quick trip to a local café and gets a frappe or something. She stays indoors most of the time. additional thoughts? are they glad to be part of the program or do they wish to stay silent? If her mother hadn’t insisted that she took part in the program she probably would have been content with living at home and keeping up with her old lifestyle.She doesn’t have a huge need to come clean, she’s very indifferent about it.

parents ( + any significant details ): Julia Walsh & Jack Sinclair, never got married, it was more of a one night stand thing but they kept it touch especially after she got pregnant. siblings: None  ancestral lineage: Her mother’s family is actually mostly Canadian, but his father is as American as it get. social class: Lower class advantages or disadvantages at birth ( i.e. poverty, disabilities, etc. ): His mother died when he was just one and his father could hardly take care of himslf, much less a baby. The money was  t i g h t. His father did small gigs for the cartel but it was hardly enough. But they managed to make ends meet. favourite childhood memory: His father had got his hands on some money and that evening they ate like it was the last day on earth. Steak, creamy sauce, lemonade, ice cream, all that.

It was more of a gradual change but when he was a child he was very kind and sweet but it was his crappy living situation, his father’s bad example that made his rough around the edges and just rather cold and self-serving.. how independent was and is your character? He’s always been very independent. His father sometimes disappeared for a couple days and left Rowan to fend off for himself, those were the days that he mainly survived on water and hard bread because he had only couple dollars on himself and he didn’t want to spend it on minute dinners. what is their main goal? He wants to make a million --- or more. Money has become a bit of an obsession for him, once he started getting paid, he became greedy.

when and why did they decide to join the cartel? It seemed like the most reasonable thing to do. Thanks to his dad, he had gotten his foot in the door and it wasn’t like he had money to go to college. He started from the small stuff, selling drugs and whatnot but gradually rose up ranks.  what is their role within the gang? He’s a planner. He makes sure that risks are minimized when members go do their jobs. He does research and acquires all needed information. additional thoughts?  are they happy where they are or do they     want out? Definitely happy, he’s hardly at any risk, his undercover act is going well and he’s making double the money being on both the fbi’s and the cartel’s payroll.

do any major changes or events occur during adolescence that triggered a certain behaviour or change in perspective? getting a dog definitely made him learn some responsibility at the age of 13, the said dog dying when he was 22 was a real shock to him, he hadn’t had to deal with grief properly before that. when he moved out and got a job that’s when he had to learn about how to handle his money and how to save. how independent was and is your character? he’s pretty independent now, he doesn’t want to burden his parents with his issues and doesn’t really have anyone to turn to, in a real pickle he might call his brother for help what is their main goal? he doesn’t have one big solid goal, he just wants to live life and be happy. he’s saving money to fly to europe for a bigger trip but that’s far in the future.
