For all you trying wet-plate out there - just to show that sometimes things just don’t go right. For some reason the darkslide was pressing against the plate and marred the collodion on what is otherwise a lovely photograph of Rebecca. After two tries like this, I switched to my backup plate holder and the issue went away. So hang in there - there’s a lot of troubleshooting, but wet-plate is worth it!
