And also ... what about Tony and Rhodey backstory ?!

So, Tony is the son of Howard and Maria Stark, as we know them, healthy,and fuckin’ rich, and everything. Howard is a distant father and Tony a difficult kid. Maria tries her best to concile them but, hm, well. Tony is a really smart and inventive kid but being at the head of his father’s entreprise when he grows up is not in his projects. When he turns 12, his parents decide to make him do some sports, because that’s what rich kids do, and maybe he'll  be less difficult after that, etc.

That’s where he mets Rhodey. Rhodey skates since he is 7, it’s really His Thing ™, he watches the Olympics, every competition, everything. His parents are both in the military but they are loving and caring, Tony can only notice the diference when Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes comes to see their son during kids exhibition and everything. Well, when they can. One time, Rhodey’s parents can’t come because of their duty, and even if Rhodey acts like it’s nothing, Tony notices it, pats him on the shoulder, and tries to comforts him.

They become really close friends after that : Tony doesn’t have many friends if it’s not for his parents money and after all, he didn’t even wanted to be here. They are not at the same school but they met often after class to practice together.

But they decides to skate as a duo after an Exhibition with the local club. Their coach decided to put Tony with Hammer, and Rhodey with somebody else (Brian Braddock, if he recalls correctly). For Rhodey, it went well but for Tony and Justin, well. Long story short, Justin was so bad on the ice that he ruined not only his performance, but also Tony’s.

Tony didn’t expected to be this disappointed after this failure, after all, he thought he just didn’t care about skating, but it really hits him.

Then Rhodey came, and patted him on the shoulder.

“Next time, you skate with me, okay ?”
