“Maureen's not gonna be my wife, but I have other ideas for her. Maureen is to be my personal secretary. She can give my Mum and Dad a hand with the fan mail.”

“We're not getting married, that's for sure!”
[Maureen Cox, 29th May, 1964]
Ringo and Maureen hold a press conference and pose for photos at Whaddon House on the 29th May, 1964 to answer rumours they were to be married. Instead of his wife, Ringo said Maureen was to be his secretary. They’d just returned to London after a holiday in the Virgin Islands with Paul and Jane. Look at these photos! Who were they trying to kid?!

The Beatles flat at Whaddon House, William Mews, London is available to rent! The flat - which I believe is number 7 (it’s a little vague) was shared by George and Ringo in 1964, and all the Beatles lived at Whaddon House at one time or another, occupying flats 5, 6 and 7. Brian also had a flat on the floor above.
The apartment is on the second floor (with lift) and boasts a large amount of living space and a private underground parking space. It comprises: separate kitchen, large reception room with dining area, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. EPC: D , two further bedrooms with family bathroom. The location is a quiet mews next to Lowndes Square within easy access to the shops, amenities and transport links of Knightsbridge and Belgravia.
[John D. Wood & Co, Estate Agents for the flat]
You can rent the flat for a snip at £1600 per week!
On the upside, for fan fiction writers (who like to be as detailed as possible) there’s a floor plan of the flat!
