The Beatles photographed at their Green Street flat on the 11th October 1963. Johnny Dean and Leslie Bryce of Beatles Monthly brought round some of the sacks of birthday cards and presents that had been sent to John for his 23rd birthday via the magazine early in the morning, interrupting the Beatles as they were having breakfast. As they were looking through some of the cards, John found a joke bowtie which he immediately put on.

The Beatles photographed for Beatles Monthly in a swimming pool in Margate, Kent sometime between the 8th and 13th of July, 1963. The Beatles were in town for a six night residency at the Winter Gardens, Margate.
