Okay, so I think I ploughed my way through all the Dragon Prince printed media now.. well I say this, I read both the graphic novels, and the art book pretty thoroughly.. ahem.. I tried not to skim too much of the novels, like I really, really tried to read all the Callum and Rayla and Ezran bits, but… I might have glazed slightly at some points.. pretty sure I absorbed all the mage fam/Aaravos bits tho..

ToX.. huh.. okay.. I have quite a few D&D books that I have mostly been gifted over the years in the hope I guess that I’ll one day play an RPG… but I have a real problem with reading game mechanics, so even tho this one does not look too complicated, ngl I read the first 60 pages, the dark magic section and… not much else really. I did look at the pictures though. They’re very nice.

Anyway, what did I take away after this extensive research? One thing my friends, one thing:

I try to ignore the extensive evidence presented in the novels that Viren is actually just an utter self serving arse, just same way I low key hum through some of his season 3 arc, because it seems if I can do a poor take on a clearly awful character I will..

I might at some point analyse why I make my piss poor attempts at pseudo Jungian takes on Viren's shadow self in a probably embarassing desire to justify myself, or I might not..
