So I wanted to make art for odiles birthday because I am a proper isat fan and I've read the artbook! Odiles birthday is may 16th I know this!! And of course I'm like three hours late but who cares let's talk about the art instead I FELT LIKE DOING GESTURE DRAWING TODAY so I combined the two and BOOM now we gots a bunch of odiles in fun poses! Because I didn't know what else to draw for her and I feel like she'd vibe with this. Anyways I've never drawn so much odile in my life look at that old lady shes so cool wow! It's like 3:40 am guys I haven't stayed up this late in months my brain is nothing. But I drew like... uh... how many of her are there in this one... uuuhhhhhhhh... ten! Ten whole odile! Wow!! Is the plural for odile 'odile' or 'odile's? Odiles, right? Because shes a proper noun? Idk man. Ten whole odiles! Wow! This was fun honestly I might do it with the other isat characters too because I found sooooo many poses and a lot of them were other isat character coded especially mirabelle. but you didn't hear that from me... shhh.... Anyways I like gesture drawing. I've been feeling a bit stiff in my art lately partly because of the left handed drawing curve and though it's real difficult to get past the mental barrier of "but hand don't know how to do that :C" and try to sketch with the left it really is the most helpful thing. And I did this whole thing with my left so!! Hopefully it helped a bit!!! I definitely felt more flowy by the end of it. If you're looking to practice posing and anatomy and like?? idk I think it's best for like getting ur art looser and learning how to scratch out a dynamic pose in a short amount of time I think??? and getting urself real accustomed to the way the human body moves and proportions???? anyways and such I'd really recommend gesture drawing its so cool and also it's fun!!!
I think odile would be good at drawing, but like, only in a very technically good sense yknow?? like she only draws for academic reasons. But shes like hilariously good at it. Like I bet shes made sketches for textbooks and shit. And so I think shed do gesture drawing in order to understand human anatomy better. I have a thing on my fanfic doc about this I think lmao. ... Wait wtf why did I put it on my burning house planning doc. that is. not related. OH I REMEMBER ok nevermind it is related anyways. It doesnt matter what matters is I found it lmao.
