What if… they had a kid?

Introducing a new kid (oc) on the block…

Name: Matilda Iris Murphy

Of course certified book nerd, Clara Murphy, is naming her kid after the most famous book nerd in literature 🤭 Also I liked the nod to this little thing I made ages ago. Iris is for Clara’s grandmother who left her the money that was her deposit on her/their London flat.

Nickname: Mattie to her parents and the world at large / Squirt, Pipsqueak and other similar names to her brothers

Born: 17 October 2017

Appearance: Hair like her mama, eyes like her daddy.

Personality: She is a tiny Clara, with Cillian's drive to perform, so she's a handful! 🙈 A miniature whirlwind sweeping through the Murphy household. Scout is her best friend in the whole world and when she was very tiny she had to be discouraged from trying to ride on him like a horse. Despite being a lot younger than her brothers, she has no qualms about getting into fights with them and often rules them with a tiny iron fist. Loves the beach and swimming in the sea near their house, dancing, gymnastics and generally getting underfoot on Cillian's film-sets.

“But Alex, you said they would never have a kid!! You were actually kind of a stubborn ass about it!” I hear you cry.

Yes, yes I did. But then I saw an ask game about ‘what if your character(s) had a kid’ and I’m not in charge of where my brain goes, ok? It’s as much of a surprise to me as you.

However, she will not be part of their OG, canon world - their story is what it is and that doesn’t include a kid of their own. But I’ve got kind of obsessed with her this last week or two so I will probably make some little ‘What if..?’ universe bits and bobs. And with Mother’s Day (in the UK) just around the corner, I thought I should introduce her 🧡

Fun idea concerning Ivan from Cars 2...

I know we don't get much on his backstory in the film or supplementary material, but I just hit on this idea. It's already shown that he's Victor's personal tow truck, but what if it was more than that?

My idea: Ivan was orphaned as a child, and he was taken in by the parents of Victor Hugo. There, they were raised as brothers and later got connected with the other three lemon families; Pacer, Gremlin, and Trunkov. I've got a few ideas for what happened to Ivan's parents. One possibility is they abandoned him for one reason or another. One of his parents might be dead while the other one is still around, but wouldn't recognize their own son now. The one I'm thinking of going with is the idea that Ivan's original parents were murdered by Victor's family, or another lemon family they hired to do the job so they could take the young tow truck and raise him as Victor's brother/personal assistant/servant.

Even if Ivan was being raised to be Victor's personal servant, the two were genuinely close as siblings and friends. But that's just a headcanon/backstory idea that just came to me.
