Jet: THIS IS WHY WE DONT GET ANY GUESTS
It's coming.
Me: I've got chronic mental heath issues and there was a mix up with my meds. I'm having frequent panic attacks caused by sensory overload.
Supposedly trained advice line worker: Have you tried phoning your GP?
Me: No appointments for two weeks. That's why I'm taking to you.
STALW: Have you heard of mindfulness?
Me: That involves grounding yourself in actuality and physicality - which is tricky when you're having a sensory overload problem.
STALW: (Clearly does not understand what I've just said). They have an app.
Me:...
STALW: Have you heard of this forum on YouTube called TED Talks. They are very inspiring.
Me: K bye.
Next week on People Dismiss My Chronic Illness with Bullshit: Another medical professional fat shames me, and suggests I try jogging after I've explained I'm constantly exhausted and having trouble leaving the house.
So Misha said in vegascon’s 2020 panel “Do what you love and good things will follow.” (I love Misha, but I think he was too tired and put a bit on the spot to flesh out some nuances that did and will still apply to him, so)
I will add: But be aware. Maybe what you love cannot sustain you in the current market or needs quite a bit of time to be profitable. Have a backup skill to get an income, and do not forget the thing you love. Your heart and soul need it. And the good things that’ll come might not be money, but they will be good in some way.
This shit just keeps going...
