Is her Mermaid part just click legs inside of a vinyl casing? Good call on removing the lower fins.

no, it's this gimmicky hinge joint that 'kicks' when you press these two tabs on the sides of her hips. It was ultra loose so I pulled down the vinyl casing and put a bunch of super glue into the joint and moved it back and forth until it stiffened enough to pose independently (it's still a bit too loose for my tastes but if it aint broke...). They can bend to a 90 degree angle so it's definitely better articulation than click knees lol.
