@kaileerenner and I were watching #onceuponatime last night. We are on season 5. In this season one of the actors has suddenly lost a massive amount of weight. Hoping that the weight loss wasn’t due to an illness (it was shocking to see and I was genuinely hoping she was okay, before you come at me for my search. Also don’t say I should have googled health because a thin person doesn’t mean a healthy person) I googled this in the hopes that it was just a human body doing human body things. This was the ever so helpful suggestion from #google No, google. I actually do not equate a persons weight to their level of attractiveness. I’m not sure if you know this but people of all sizes are beautiful. Thanks for this HORRIBLE suggestion. The Rejection.

My 2018 hasn’t impressed me yet. How is yours?

In January I was playing with my friend that I would get rejected from a university that I really want to. I entered into the youtube, and one of the recommendations videos was a girl saying “Rejected from Stanford, accepted into Harvard.” And then I started joking with my friend “Dude, check this video out, mine is going to be “ Rejected from a dream, accepted into the Safety.” Cause I really thought that my safety college would be the only one I would get in.( well, I used to say that joking).

Well, I was wrong.

Today while playing Paladins- an online game my friend convinced me to download, and now I am addicted. I got an e-mail that an update has been done on my safety server. I got frozen, my arm furs got erected, and that feeling of butterflies inside your stomach appeared. I got confused cause it is not that important to me to get in or not you know, but I still was nervous. My dad, grandmother, and niece were in the living room with me and I wanted so bad make them happy I looked at my computer clock AND SHIT- TODAY IS FEBRUARY 27TH. The results are supposed to come in March, and at that moment I remember my friend ( let’s call him Cleber), that got rejected in early from his dream school and his result came a few days earlier than it was supposed to be. So, ok, it is a big probability of being a rejection.

And well, that is what came:  "The Admission Committee regrets to inform you we have declined your application for admission to the University of Safety." 

Well, we don’t get accepted into everything you know. And I was not scared of being rejected from my reach/dreams schools. Cause my all application was great, really everything. Nevertheless, they said why they could not accept me: because I did not have enough money to pay them. I thought, well, I just decided to apply to guys cause I received a junk email about you saying 100% financial aid. So ok, now you reject me because I cannot pay, I feel dumb for applying for this university. 

However, I am still thinking about the rejection- not about this one- I don’t care about this University. But the one that a lot of people suffer every day: being impeded to follow and pursue an education because of the lack of money. I am not trying to criticize capitalism here. I just want to the point that there are a lot of talents out there, regarding sports, science and whatever else that don’t get the chance. This is a FUCKED UP REJECTION. Unfortunately, I was one of them today. 

We still have many people all over the World that did not have the chance to learn how to read, or history. Never had the opportunity to finish school. We have so many talents out there. Now I know why humankind never progress its interrelations, while every day we have a new cutting-edge technology, we are simultaneously getting a part of it other. Each time more and more people don’t have the chance. That is the rejection I am talking about. If we really want to evolve, we need to change this. Unfortunately, as the World is today, I don’t see that coming easily and early.

But I still have hope, and I wish to be part of this change too.
