I started my week with This July Evening from @floraiku in the hope of ushering in some love spring/summer weather to break the gloom, this is a gorgeous Jasmine, Chamomile and Vanilla centred fragrance that carries your mind off to warm evenings spent enjoying the delights of a garden and pleasant and sociable times, oh please can we have those back? On Saturday I woke up to mist and damp so I reached for the every cosy and comforting Ivory Route from @xerjoff a delight everytime I wear it. On Wednesday I went with Seminalis from @ortoparisi this is so good, it’s got a sweetness in the opening paired with almond which never leans bitter, beautiful musks join the party and of course my favourite Sandalwood is the star of the show, creamy, rich and so addictive, for me this was a love at first sniff. Thursday I was craving Rose and I went with one of the finest in my collection Malik al Taif from @areejledoreperfume this is complex and rich and it’s Rose/Oud done like no other in my opinion and that’s just over simplifying things, there is a full review further down my page which does this beauty a little more justice. On Saturday I went with Santal Majescule from @sergelutens for me the name is a bit misleading as I actually think the Rose is the star player here, lush rich and red rose meets dark chocolate with only the faintest hint of sweetness, these are joined by a dry almost medicinal sandalwood, not quite the creamy type I love so much but none the less the combination is amazing. Today I’ve gone for Eau de Mystique from @wesker.perfumes this brand literally exploded onto the fragrance stage with this potent bomb of a fragrance, literally 3 sprays max will see you through the day with this complex gem, it would take a full post to do this just and I have done a full review on my page which you can check out, another brand which is really doing interesting and unique work, check them out if you get the chance, you can now purchase samples directly from their website.
