So very excited to return to @tisharonma this coming Shabbat for the first time in 15 years,this time serving as Brotherhood Scholar in Residence. Moving our Torah scroll from Genesis to Leviticus always feels like a magical journey to me because it is. I think about the number of people who have read these text over the years and what they were thinking when they read them. I think about being in community as these words are read aloud. I also love my private time with the scroll and I love what pops out as I move from Genesis to Leviticus. Today it was the Song of the Sea and my eyes immediately went to עזי וזמרת יה ויהי־לי לישועה ‎God is my strength and song God is my salvation The words I needed to see as we move into our holiest day of the year. New #Haggadah haul. Short reviews: @maiseltv is adorable for the marketing but I gave up this Haggadah in high school 🤣 // @days_united is cute but verrry brief - love the QR codes (they didn’t all work tho 🤨) as a concept. // @kvellercom why is the Hebrew so tiny?
