yes, i like so-called problematic and toxic ships. but, for godz sake, i hate ships that i personally see as toxic, that are actually pretty damn toxic in canon, and yet everyone, including the canon itself, acts like, "nah, it's fine." i can't freaking live with that.
to me, that's way MORE toxic than two characters trying to smash each other's heads in with a chair. if one of them has a much stronger emotional need for the other, if they're basically dependent on them, then that's incredibly toxic. and it's not cool. it's uncomfortable. i hate reading it, watching it, and watching people glorify it.
especially when one character is very obviously in a much more privileged position in life, and from where they're standing they simply can't see, or don't understand, the damage they're doing to the other person through their words and actions. either because they don't care, or because they never even try to work around the situation, or because some kind of moral blind spot stops them from seeing it. and the readers, the viewers, the fandom don't fucking see it either. i just can't stomach those ships.
seriously, if it's presented as a flawed, toxic dynamic, fine. if it's presented as something normal and romantic, then... i've got questions.

for the exact same reason, i don't like snily, i don't like wolfstar. i don't like snupin either, sorry. i do have a certain amount of respect for snupin fans, but i don't like the ship itself. and it's for exactly the same reason: people keep trying to sell Remus as the "good boy" out of all of them.
