Six years ago this morning around 10am in a warm birthing tub with candles lit all around, this beautiful amazing incredible bright intuitive little boy was born. He watched his mom and dad play rock n roll from the baby carrier, or the pack n play, or in the arms of friends as he was carted around to venues and rehearsals. We watched in awe as he soaked up all the new things around him like a sponge over these fast as lightning years. He is our little owl baby, who swooped into our lives by surprise (I found out I was pregnant the second day recording Bright Future). I didn’t know love until I met you Rory James. Happy birthday my sweet boy, our tender big brother, our love-deepener, heart-opener, eye-widener. Oh, and I probably wouldn’t do sparklers inside.
