Excellent think piece on the Twitter implosion and the history and future of social media by Catherynne Valente: Stop Talking To Each Other & Start Buying Things.  

All about the good, bad, and ugly of social media and why we need to protect our quirky little spaces and/or keep banding together to make new ones. The end made me tear up a bit, for real.

Biggest takeaway -
