Books that stayed with me
Rules: in a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!
(I’m only tagging 8)
1) The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight pretty much started everything off. I bet if it wasn't for these books I wouldn't read on and I wouldn't be who I am today.) 2) The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (Those books pretty much taught me everything that I base my life on so I would be lost without them) 3) The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare 4) Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout 5) Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare 6) Heavy Load by E.Hayes (who is my best friend and wrote a book for me. It's not actually published and she thinks it's crap but it's one of the best presents I ever got in my life including her friendship. I know I'm getting cheesy shut up) 7) The Host by Stephenie Meyer 8) The Fault in Our Stars by John Green 9) Divergent by Veronica Roth 10) Inspector Calls by J.B. Prestley (A book that we read in my English class and I had to write an assessment on but it was the first ever book that I wouldn't normally choose to read and yet it made me question my life)
Wonderful people who I chose to tag (no order): 1)the-demonprincess 2)whereangelsrest 3)justfreezethismoment 4)infinite-incendio 5)the-other-victors 6)hazelgracer 7)malecwillbethedeathofme 8)vasilisadraqomir
In regards to Miracle Day (I've been scrolling through the tag), it depends on who you ask. Personally, I loved it, although mainly for what it highlighted about humanity... Anyway, it's very different to the other seasons of Torchwood, but I would encourage you to watch them because it's fantastic :)
I loved it too! I’m glad that some fans of Torchwood still enjoyed the different concept (idk if that’s the word i want to use…).
The previous seasons are on my “to watch” list, so I’ll get around to it eventually! Thanks for taking the time to talk to me about it. :D
On my way to see City of Bones with whereangelsrest! I have runes drawn all over my arms and my dad is all like 'You look like an idiot...' Parental support; you can always count on it. -.-
I'l post photos of my runes and my ticket when I come back. I also might right a short 'review' on the film. I'M SO EXCITED! HAVE FUN SHADOWHUNTERS!
I’ve been tagged by another-herondale-girl :))))

QUESTIONS (DON'T JUDGE ME ON THE LENGTH OF MY ANSWERS; I LIKE TO TALK, OKAY? KAY.)
1) What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?
I have a lot to choose from cuz I'm just an awkward being... SO how about this. For the needs of this story this guys name is Ian. Ian is one of the popular boys that everyone loves and just worships and you know what I mean. I don’t know why, we barely talk, but one day he set me a challenge of giving him a birthday card for his b-day. Me being me I obviously accepted the challenge- I wouldn’t let him think that I couldn’t do it.
His b-day was two days before the end of half term so I didn’t see him on that day. But in total it took me 4 days after to give that card to him. (Yep, that’s how long it took me to gather my courage… I’m not even sure what I was scared of but whatever). I wanted to give it to him in one of my lessons cuz he sits in front of me but I didn’t want everyone to see me doing this so I was hoping I’d catch him after class since it was the last lesson of the day. Yep, didn’t happen. My supply teacher kept me after class cuz she thought that this girl cut off some of my hair- she didn’t really, it was her hair.
My friend waited for me after class and I was like “I either give it to him today or I will never do it”. So he’s one of the sporty kind of guys and he had badminton club after school so my friend literally forced me to go to the sports hall… I thought “Yeah, I’ll go there find him in, give it to him so nobody will see and just run once he has the card”. I wish it happened so smoothly. I couldn’t find him so I pretty much asked every teacher that was in the PE area until one of his friends (Caleb let’s say) came out of the changing rooms. So I asked Caleb if Ian’s there and he said yes. So me being naïve I asked Caleb to get Ian. I think you know where this is going… So Caleb shout “IAAAANNNN, ANNIE’S(that’s not my real name) HERE WAITING FOR YOU”. Do I need to say I blushed like a tomato? My friend was just standing there laughing her head off while I was hoping for the ground to swallow me…
So Caleb went back into the changing rooms and came out with Ian AND four other guys. So Ian cam up to me all smiling an happy and my head was literally touching my chest and my eyes on my shoes when I was giving him his card “Here” I said. How intelligent of me! >.<
But then came the awkward part… Ian went for a hug and I stepped away and the guys went “OHHH, YOU GOT REJECTED!!!!!”. To be honest the only reason I stepped away from him was because I didn’t expect it (keep in mind that I had a crush on him forever) and I’m awkward with physical contact… >.< So Ian went really read (he never does) and I… I don’t think I could blush any more. And then he was all like “You not gonna hug me?” And I was just standing there like “WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? HIM AND HUG? HUH? RETFYGUHEAJIUHYIJ4EKWFEUH798IO2JN53YGRFMKIJE89QUIHJHNMRVD? I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT’S GOING ON!!!”. But in the end I just hugged (if what we did can be called a hug) him and just awkwardly walked away… Yep. He’s also the guy that asked me to be his valentine when I was 12. I laughed at him. Not because I thought it was funny but because I laugh when I’m shocked and nervous. Yep. But after the b-day card thing he pretty much tried to avoid me. Really smooth, Annie…
2) What book/movie, if any, has changed your life?
As much as people despise those books, the Twilight series have really changed my life. I was 12 and I was a very naive and annoying girl that was dreaming about her prince charming but the books kind of open my eyes. I learned that life is full of surprises and sometimes a hot werewolf is better than Troy from HSM... >.< Then obviously there are The Hunger Games trilogy. When I was nearly 13 I went through I very rough time because of my religion. I used to be Catholic and many people say that Catholics should read books like Twilight or Harry Potter because they are possessed. I never really was religious but I believed that God accepts you for who you are and if reading books like Twilight makes you happy then let be it. But when I went to a privet confession (which lasted for 4 hours, not joking) the priest told me that I’m causing evil (I had a blog where I was writing fanfiction about Renesmee and Jacob) and encourage people to do evil. I came back home devastated because the Twilight books really made me into someone I actually liked and so did other people. At that time I couldn’t shake off the feeling of causing bad by simply being a fan of the Twilight books so I took off all the posters in my room (which keep in mind acted the role of wallpaper- I had a lot of them) I put away any merch that were out on my shelf. My mom find me an hour later when I was nearly finished and my eyes were bloodshot from crying. For the next 4 days I didn’t go into my room; I slept with my mom and I refused to enter my room until it’s re-decorated. Ever since then I didn’t read any books until I watched The Hunger Games film and immediately fell in love with it. I bought the books and read all of them in 4 days. I became a fan straight away but I didn’t become as obsessed with this series as I did with the Twilight books in case the story repeated itself. After what happened with the priest I had thoughts that there’s no point in being Catholic (don’t get me wrong, I’m not against Catholics and if you’re one good for you) if your religion is pretty much against everything you believe in so I became atheist. I’m not 100% atheist because there are things that I believe in even God is not one of them. Let’s just say that if you want to know more about that then send me an ask and I’ll explain everything. J
Just recently I’ve finished reading The Infernal Devices books and man did those books made me emotional. I’ve always was emotional when I read books but not as much as I was reading these books. The thing is that I’ve had a problem in feelings and being able to name those feelings for the past 2 years but I cried so easily when I was reading those books that now I only have to think about them and I tear up… I didn’t really feel human for the past 2 years being unable to put a finger on my emotions but now it feels as if my limbs were numb and now I can use them again. As sappy as everything I wrote is, it is true and to be honest maybe not all books affect me as much as the ones I’ve mentioned above but I think that every single book I’ve read in my life made me who I am now.
3) What was your first fandom?
Technically it would Harry Potter but I only liked the films, I’ve never heard of Tumblr or fanfiction or anything (Probably because I was 6). If that doesn’t count it would be Twilight but I never had Tumblr at that point I only read and wrote fanfiction. So if that doesn’t count my first proper fandom would be The Hunger Games. I made Tumblr for this fandom, I’ve read and wrote fanfcition and I was properly in love with the cast.
4) Who is your all time favorite fictional character?
First it was Hermione then it was Jacob and Seth then it was Peeta and now it’s Jem for The Infernal Devices. I could write an a very detailed essay with graphs and diagrams as to why I love Jem but I don’t think anyone would bother reading it… >.<
5) What is your favorite song?
When I was into Twilight I was around 12 years old so that was pretty much when I began to develop a taste in music, actors, books, films etc. So whenever I heard a song that I liked it immediately became my fav song. But one day I was watching Twilight videos on Youtube and I came across “My guardian Angel” by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. This was my first ever proper favorite song. Obviously, I have other fav songs now but this song holds special importants in my heart.
My questions:
1) If you want to bring a fictional character to life you need to sacrifice someone dear to you who in return will become fictional. What fictional character would you choose and who would you sacrifice to bring you favorite character to life?
2) If you could be invisible for a day what would you do?
3) If you had a chance to say something to someone right now that you always wanted to say what would it be?
4) Finish the sentence; “I’m… but that’s okay because…”
5) Right 3 characteristics you wish you had.
