Captain America : Civil War Directors Would Like to Make Black Widow Movie

Joe and Anthony Russo on potential future Marvel projects.

“The Russo brothers have quickly become key players in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only have they now directed two Captain America movies--2014's The Winter Soldier and the hugely anticipated Civil War--they have also been given the task of bringing the epic Avengers: Infinity War to the screen. Now Joe and Anthony Russo have revealed that they would be interested in making a standalone movie featuring Russian agent-turned-Avenger Black Widow.

As reported by Comicbook.com, Joe explained why he would be drawn to a solo Black Widow film. "Hell yeah! We love that character," he enthused. "That the character is one of if not the richest character in the Marvel universe. A very complex character, haunted by demons and her understanding of the world is fascinating.

"I think there is a lot that can be done with that character."
