I'm kind of fascinated with the narrator-character dynamic in Winnie-the-Pooh 2011.
Like the narrator can read the words and clearly the characters are meant to abide by the words, but sometimes the characters just... don't. And he's gotta help them along, often by directly interacting with them. See: the narrator tilting the book to dump Pooh out of bed, or telling him where to see the note that Christopher Robin left.
The narrator also has to explain to Pooh what a paragraph is, even though the characters are outright aware of - and interact with - the letters of their book, like Kanga's sewing getting snagged and unraveling, and Pooh building a ladder out of the letters Piglet and B'loon knocked down.
Presumably all of the characters can hear the narrator, too. Tigger addresses the narrator at one point, while the narrator says that Tigger should be with the others (though noticeably the narrator doesn't take such an active approach with getting Tigger back where he 'should' be, nor does the narrator interrupt in "It's Gonna Be Great," signaling perhaps the narrator doesn't get a say/the chance to interact in sequences that don't abide by the story?)
Also when the narrator's voice turns into chanting "honey" right before "Everything is Honey." I see that the words on the page have all turned into honey - so the narrator's still doing his job in reading the story. Unless the words are perhaps Pooh's hallucinations since he's so hungry, implying that the narrator is even enough of a character/friend to be included in Pooh's hallucinations.
I just think it's a very funny dynamic to include, as opposed to just "the guy who reads the story."
