Trouble sighed and nudged her bare foot against lou's shoe. "Hey...." She whispered, not sure if he was awake or asleep on her couch. "Do you wanna go paint the sunrise with me." Now, for most people, this was an odd request at four in the morning, but, Trouble couldn't sleep and wanted to feel productive with her life. It would still be pretty cool in the morning for this time of year. In the end though, she was probably going to need his help, getting all of her stuff to the right place. @whiitelight

Monster. That’s what the press made her out to be. The ones on Tommy’s side. Theones who thought that all she did was take advantage of a poor helpless boy,foisting so much of herself and her ideals onto him. (Though that in and of itself would require them to believe evena small modicum of her story.)

The ones that didn’tbelieve her claimed she was being a monster for the same reasons, differentformulations: How dare she come forth andsay she wrote these songs? Sure she was in the same town as him, but that doesn’tprove anything. Where does she get off claiming that she wrote hissongs? (And that in and of itself assumes the press has the grace to refer to her as ‘she’.)

❤ - Our muses go blind/speed dating and happen to find each other

Thus far it’s been a significantly banal evening of arrangedcard tables and folding chairs- an endeavor that would typically take place atsome community center or a diner instead concealed like a blemish in the basementof a nondescript building adjacent to the pier. Whether out of morbid curiosityor actual loneliness, Robert has navigated through the timed segments with relativemalaise, suffering through idle chatter and numbing disconnect, a tepidly lit fishtank of receding hairlines and general desperation, a death row for dignitywith despair ticking in time with the plastic buzzer between them. The crowdisn’t at all what he has anticipated considering the locale but Robert figuresthat mostly anyone at least remotely fuckable wouldn’t find themselves speeddating on a Sunday night.

Behind the remaining very leathery door is the last eligiblebachelor of the evening- the vampiric droner from the Velvets.  Robert’s simultaneously relieved and scaredshitless. Patti’s awfully taken with him, at least his lyrics, bringing intoquestion whether she really knows the difference between art and the artist. Robert’scertain he’s never really liked him or maybe it’s just always been impossibleto see through the smokescreen of raging jealousy regarding Lou’s comparablystifling relationship with Andy.  Robertroosts his palm against a sagging hip and gawks in disbelief- not that there’s alegitimate reason to shame the other because somehow he’s found himself playingthis game as well.
