@an-autumn-rose: Argan oil!!! I have a thick head of curly, frizzy hair and it helps so much! Specifically, I use curl cream argan oil (which is a leave in conditioner), but argan oil comes in the oil form itself, along with being in several shampoos, conditioners, and such. Not sure if there's a Sally's store by you but they have plenty of varieties of it
my mom used to have like an argan oil cream or something that was great, but has been discontinued, so i would love to get something like that again. thank you! and yes there is a sally’s around me so i’ll have to go check it out soon :)
@lindensea: I was just having this conversation with a friend of mine who worked in a beauty supply store for years. A deep conditioning hair mask once a week is what she recommended!
i’ve seen that recommended a lot of places, so i’m definitely going to do that! thank you!
@ofedmund: Never brush it other than after a shower. Honestly, I used to have super puffy hair, but then I just stopped doing anything soecial for it and now it's super long, shiny, and not puffy at all. It's just wavey and gorgeous, I use ZERO product and it looks better than a lot of people who use endless products.
i know you’re not supposed to brush your hair a lot, but i love brushing mine, so i’m going to actively try to cut back lol. thank you!
@tea-pizzaz: i don’t deal with this problem personally so idk how well this would work but i have heard from multiple sources to try silk pillowcases and avoid rubbing your hair with a towel when it’s wet to dry (patting may be acceptable?? and/or using a softer material instead??)
thanks you! rubbing your hair with a towel is very bad, so i always try to avoid that. and i was just recommended the silk pillow cases by @fourcrowns so i’m going to look into that :)
@whilewewereyetsinners: Argan Oil--I've used the OGX brand for a number of years now and it's great. My hair absorbs it easily without getting oily/greasy and it really controls any frizziness.
i’m glad to hear your hair doesn’t get greasy. i’m always worried about products that do that. i’ll definitely check it out. thank you!!!

Now that this lovely fic has come to a conclusion, I HAVE to recommend it! @whilewewereyetsinners paints an incredible story so faithful to the spirit of The Hobbit that it took me awhile to realize it was an AU. The relationships between Tauriel and Legolas, Tauriel and Thranduil, and Tauriel and the Durin dwarves were incredibly natural. I especially love her relationship with Thorin, something that I don’t see often in fics and that I’m now hungry for more of!
PLEASE sit down and read this fic - and drop a comment or two! It is well worth a read and a ponder, and I know it’s a story I’ll be coming back to over and over again. <33
Let us not forget the reason we come together to give undeserved gifts to both loved ones and strangers... it is because of the One who was born to be the gift of love to us the undeserving and estranged. #thereasonfortheseason #teamcarreon #helovedusfirst #whilewewereyetsinners
“For while we were still helpless, at the right time, the Messiah died on behalf of ungodly people. Now it is a rare event when someone gives up his life even for the sake of somebody righteous, although possibly for a truly good person one might have the courage to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in that the Messiah died on our behalf while we were still sinners.” Romans (Rom) 5:6-8 CJB #romans5 #jesuslovesyou #jesuslovesme #jesusdiedforyou #jesusdiedforus #whilewewereyetsinners #hallelujah #halleluyah
whilewewereyetsinners replied to your post “I read that there were four professions in the regency period that...”
Yeah, your first reaction was correct-- medicine wasn't a "gentleman's" profession in the Regency era. And as far as the law goes, only being a barrister was acceptable, not simply a lawyer. Love your answer though! :D
Ah, yes--the fine and sometimes blurry distinction between the gentlemanly and the genteel! A doctor was not an altogether objectionable sort of husband, of course, but he would not be supposed a true gentleman--though they could be wealthy and educated enough to keep company with gentlemen. On about the same level as higher-end merchants/businessmen, socially-speaking.

Hi-- I have a fanfic I want to post for today's Figrid February prompt, but pretty much everything I've seen so far is linked to an Ao3 story. Do I have to post it there to take part? Thanks!
Not at all my love! A lot of people use AO3 and so we reblog the AO3 links. But people have been posting it on here as a whole fic under a Read More as well which we’ve reblogged too =)
You can also post a link to any other platform you like. Live Journal, Fanfiction.net, is Whatpad still a thing? Who knows. But yes, Hulwultarg, you can post fic in whatever format you like! There are no rules here, just make it about our Precious Darlings!
In short, you can contribute in whatever manner of platform you like, so long as we all get to see it please ^___^
Super Psyched to see what you’ve created =D
