Ok hear me out, wizards that use string figures to cast spells. Imagine it, a multitude of spells with infinite repeatability and incredibly concealable. Witches broom for transport, jacobs ladder for shield, the possibilities are endless

How are string figures not common in wizardry? I think it has so much potential, you could charge your string with mana and youd just have to remember the sequences to make the spell. Literally so wizard coded, making complex shapes and runes with a simple string. It could be an on-the-go sigil machine. Or even use it death stranding style as a melee weapon. The possibilities are endless!
