Steampunk is gone, so the new weird based-on-alternate-history fashion trend is whiskeypunk, which is... (rolls dice) the 1920s if magic was everywhere

Fashion concepts:

- Pyrokinetic prohibition-breakers with flint gauntlets that give them sparks to turn into fireballs to throw at the police

- Lycanthrope mafia members wearing intricately detailed rings with sharp points extending over the finger so that they don’t lack claws while in human form

- Flapper dress made of live, electric blue butterflies

- A derby hat with holes carefully cut to allow a fae king’s antlers through

- Selkies wearing their seal skins around their necks like ermine furs, making other socialites jealous

Decopunk has tech. Whiskeypunk has magic. That’s the easiest distinction I can make.

I think Gildedpunk is a bit of a misnomer. I Gildedpunk is a misnomer. The Gilded Age in late 1800s ended 20 years before the Prohibition era, which began after the end of World War I. The Gilded Age and the Roaring 20s are entirely different time periods and historical aesthetics.
