oops time for another hc ramble, pythia edition

alright, let’s go with all the pythias we know about

bunny freya

white freya

oracle freya

librarian frei

oracle frei 

note that the oracles may not technically be pythias and just oracles taking a physical form that looks like a pythia

so, todays ramble is about pythia eye colors

so 

bunny freya has three eyes, as all freyas do

her scleras are black/gray and her pupils are white for the two eyes placed where normal human eyes go, but her third eye has a white sclera and a black/gray pupil

white freya is the same way

however, oracle freya’s “human” eyes are completely black, and her third eye has a black sclera with a white pupil

but if you look at a draft for what would have been a white freya sprite, you can see that here, her third eye is changed to match her other ones

and if you look at sprites where white/bunny freya are upset, they have a red dot in the center of their third eye. (to be fair, their sprites are nearly identical)

and frei’s eye color is always black sclera, white pupils

although, I do suppose that since the draft for what would have been a white freya sprite wasn’t technically used in the game so it’s not necessarily canon

...except it was, but we can’t be sure if it really counts, one, because the colors were inverted, and two, this is just the oracle deciding on a form so it might have some differences

yeah, there’s no theory here, just an observation

could it be just an inconsistency with no real meaning? sure

is it more fun to think it means something and speculate? hell yeah

and i mean, this is etherane we’re talking about so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was something to this

also I noticed that who appears to be oracle freya has a white sclera+black pupil and actually has pupils in her “human” eyes in this drawing, though it could be another freya, just the multiple arms implies to me that she’s an oracle or something
