I recently saw someone talking about privileged people like: "Male-presenting and white-presenting."

Like, male-presenting is cringe enough, but white-presenting? WHITE-PRESENTING?

Whoever said it best when they said "don't be so open-minded that your brains fall out."

The term "white-presenting" makes me so uncomfortable.  Yes, there are white passing POC, and being referred to as "white" when you identify as a POC can be very upsetting, but the term "white-presenting" makes it seem like appearing white is something you are consciously doing.  Like looking like a certain race is a decision you make, and that how other people code you is a result of an action you took of your own agency.  Race is not something you can choose to present, and as a non-white passing multiracial girl who gets told I "act white" it makes me really uncomfortable to see "white-presenting" used in place of "white passing" or even "presumed white".
