What a whirlwind of a day! I can officially say that I have almost seen the entire city. It started off with all twenty-four of us loading onto the metro with great anticipation to reach our appointment at White Sposa, which is only the single most important wedding magazine in Italy. Simona (bottom right), the editor of the magazine, was very amusing to listen to. She knows everything about the magazine and bridal industry and I just wanted to soak up all of her knowledge.
After that fabulous experience we headed to lunch at Mama’s Burgers and if you ever get the chance you need to make your way there to try the special burger, it was delicious. Oh and don’t forget the gelato to go! My favorite so far is the pistachio and white chocolate mixed.
Upon finishing up my supreme treat we all headed into the meeting room to hear from Andrea Tisci (top right), which I wasn’t too excited for until he walked in with an amazing orange and violet outfit on. Then on top of the great outfit he is also an extremely entertaining teacher on the topic of blogging.
However, the best part of the day was heading out to do a scavenger hunt with my group! We started off determined to win and we got six of the seven pictures complete and then we read the last one. Santa Maria Nascente, that shouldn’t be too hard to find right? Well we were wrong, people didn’t know what is was and they were sending us all over the city and after thirty minutes of going in all directions we headed back to the hotel just to find out that we had already gotten the picture with it, but that the locals refer to the Duomo as the same thing. Just our luck, but at least we had a blast and now we will know better!
