I’ve actually painted four Bs this weekend ... three were Celtic knotwork and I could not for the life of me get a colour scheme I liked, so I went back to a different style - this renaissance era white vine letter is from one of my reference books and already had colours to guide me. Maybe I’ll go back to the Celtic colours for C. . I’m keeping a record of each technique, especially the gilding section, in scribbled pencil on the back of each card. This one: two layers of Instacoll, weather 20°C, humidity 55%, drying time just under an hour. Still not getting the results I want, but using the sable brush is definitely better than the synthetic one. .
