A Pretentious Rainbow

is your muse honest? what sorts of lies do they tell, if not?

Charlotte is generally pretty honest. Usually that’s more because she’s not a great liar and she knows it than because of any moral principle. So she lies when she absolutely has to (as in, to protect another person) or when it’s small enough that she thinks she can get away with it.

how likely is your muse to step up and take the role of a leader? are they willing to take the challenge, or are they more apt to being a follower?

She would be willing to lead and, in some circumstances, could make a strong leader. Given the chance, she wouldn’t shy from it. However, her demeanor tends to prevent people from taking her seriously enough to give her that chance. Leaving her stuck at the bottom of the barrel.

has your muse ever done anything that they winded up feeling incredibly guilty for in the end?

Yes. Definitely. All the time. She blames herself for everything that goes wrong around her and, depending on the situation, the guilt will stay with her for long periods of time. There’s two main things in her storyline, however, that are the largest sources of grief and guilt for her. The first is leaving for the order without getting to say goodbye to the man she was with at the time. The second was one time, on a mission, she failed to detect an oncoming attack and lost the entirety of the party she had come with. Both of these I could write a whole post about but I will spare you all for now.

what is something that your muse is fascinated with?

Culture. Charlotte loves meeting people from different places with different customs and lives and languages. That is to say, she wants to experience it first hand; give her a book or try and have her sit in on a class about culture, she’ll zone out and wish for the suffering to end. She wants to meet the people from the culture. Talk with them, eat with them, and live with them. Less than that is just a bore.

is your muse courageous, or would they consider themselves to be more of a coward?

Charlotte walks the fine line between bravery and just being too dumb to recognize danger to herself. She’s more than willing to put her life on the line, especially if it’s to help someone else.

does your muse have a favorite scent? what is it, and why?

The smell of salt water (aka the ocean). She grew up near a beach and that’s where she’d go to get away from her problems, so that’s where most of her good memories are.

when your muse loves someone (whether it be romantic, platonic, or familial love), how do they show it?

She is very open about her feelings and does everything in her power to make that person happy. Personally, she is fond of physical affection so much of the time, her emotions are expressed in that way. Hugs and kisses are free to anyone and everyone she cares for.

if you had to describe your muse with a color, what color would it be and why?

A sort of mossy, seaweed green. Basically a mix of green and brown. Like the dark green of a military jacket. And, as for why… it’s hard to say, I’ve just always kind of associated her with dark shades of green and adding the bit of brown makes it go with her skin/eye/hair color palette. Am I making sense?

how easily does your muse adapt to any new situations they’re thrust into?

Very well. She loves new experiences and goes out of her way to avoid the same routine, so she has learned to acclimate as best she can to her surroundings.

what message would your muse send to their past self, if any?

“Don’t let him go.”
