he  stands  there  –  a  pariah,  a  martyr,  figure  outlined  and  burning  with  ire,  his  insides  all  mangled  with  the  strings  that  keep  his  limbs  afloat.  she  hates  it:  seeing  in  him  a  reflection  of  herself,  dark  and  lonely  and  seething  with  self-destruction  –  what  was  fate  to  them,  but  something  someone  else  created?  “if  only  i  had  said  something  --”  the  parts  of  her  lips  unfold,  hand-written  notes  on  soft-scented  paper,  her  tears  pressed  onto  her  father’s  knee,  “if  i  had  the  courage  to  warn  him  of  the  path  he  was  taking,  maybe  none  of  this  wouldn’t  have  happened.”

maybe  you  wouldn’t  have  killed  him,  lives  there,  a  wound  vile  and  split  between  them,  a  brand  on  her  already  quickly  beating  heart,  words  unspoken.  she  doesn’t  have  to  say  it  –  it’s  there  in  the  setting  of  her  lips  like  cold  iron,  and  neither  of  them  are  fools.  “even  when  we  beat  him  in  his  palace,  i  was  ready  …  i  was  ready  to  forgive  him.  he  was  all  i  had.”

“you  wanted  happiness,”  akechi  says,  reaching  out  as  if  he  were  trying  to  be  a  balm  to  her  heart,  “i  can’t  blame  you  for  that.”  it  is  the  kindest  she  has  heard  him,  and  that  is  why  she  doesn’t  look  into  his  face,  doesn’t  have  to  see  the  way  the  words  might  crumble  like  dust  if  she  saw  even  a  flicker  of  disgust  in  his  eyes.  no,  she  thinks,  the  repressed  anger  in  her  like  a  simmer,  a  boil  with  the  lid  clasped  tight,  who  gives  him  the  right  to  say  that?  what  right  had  he  to  forgive  her  pain  when  he  was  the  one  who  caused  it?

“of  course  i  did,”  she  replies,  the  thin  of  her  lips  creased  with  the  knot  of  her  brows.  “doesn’t  everyone?  don’t  you?”  she  tries  to  hold  onto  her  anger,  strength  as  easily  fallen  away  like  sand,  through  the  webbing  of  her  fingers,  but  a  sadness  settles  in  instead  and  makes  her  eyes  shine  like  glass.  “don’t  you  want  the  chance  to  be  happy,  too?” 

she  reaches  out  to  him,  and  he  recoils  as  she  knew  he  would,  a  tremble  violent  in  its  repulsion.  “it’s  okay  to  live  your  life  the  way  you  want  to,  akechi-kun.  we  can  defy  our  fate.”  she  looks  up  to  catch  his  expression,  hair-line  cracks  in  an  ever-present  smile.  “i  can’t  forgive  you  yet  …  but  i  understand.  you  still  have  the  chance  to  change,  you  know?”

she  reaches  closer,  and  he  snaps,  spittle  like  venom  out  his  mouth,  “i  don’t  have  any  other  choice,”  he  says,  smacking  her  away  and  her  hand  lays  suspended,  a  fragile  thread  between  them. 

haru  doesn’t  say  anything  else.  instead,  silent,  her  eyes  sag  with  pain.

Prologue : The worth of time.

A/N: It’s a try, I guess. The first chapter of my fanfiction. English is not my first language so message me if there’s fault ( well I reread it more than twice so I hope there’s not) and tell me if you like it or not, I would like to read your comment about my writing’s skill because I’m a beginner and I’m in lack of advise...Have a good day ! 

Summary : (Loki x Reader) Reader has the capicity of travelling in time to watch or rewatch events of the past. She also don’t understand why Loki left her months ago. And even if she’s trying her best, she just can’t get over her break-up and is traveling in time to live again her relationship. However, it’s never good dreaming too long of the past and to forget to live.

NOSTALGIA : From the Greek “Nostos” Idea of returning home from a long journey and from the Greek “Algos” Literally pain.

Feeling of pleasure and also slight sadness when you think about things that happened in the past.

Maybe you should stop that, that torture, the nightmare you're living in. Maybe you should stop thinking about him. About his glacial eyes and the way he looked at you.  As your friend, Steve, says : “You're torturing yourself [Y/N],he does not worth your time.” and he might be right after all, maybe you should stop spoiled your life with sadness and cries for him... 

Your thoughs are driving away by his apparition, he doesn’t give a look at the room and he’s immediatly leading to the bar where he commands a glass of beer. You know he hates it, but he looks like he don’t care anymore about that kind of stuff. Even if you’re sitting at the back of the bar, you can glimpse the wince he’s making at the taste of the beverage, that make you laugh...And think that he’s cute. He’s looking at the crowd filling the room. You know, by heart, every movement, every step he’s going to make : so it’s without surprise you see him walking to the table next door. 

You take some time to describe him, and as always, you can’t help yourself and think he’s handsome. His hair, his smile,his gloomy look... He’s wearing his traditionnal white shirt, and even if he often denies it mortal’s clothes used to suit him very well. 

There it is, he sits in front of her. You want to throw up as the pain in your chest raises immediatly. However, even if it's hurt, your eyes still lock on the table where he's trying to drink his beer. He talks, camly, to the woman sitting in front of him. Some words are coming to your ears as she starts crying. “Can't do this anymore...” He says as she grabs his hands firmly, and her eyes meet his. “It doesn't work. We have to split up.” 

“Loki, please..No...What did I do..I'm sorry, don't..” Her face is covered by tears, her hand’s gripping Loki's harder. “ Don't leave me. I love you.” He stands, she doesn't let his hand go. She wants to understand what is going on, but before she could ask a question he states : 

« Our story was a mistake. You are a mistake and I never want to see you again.»

The woman's hand falls as Loki leaves quickly the room. She sits on his empty chair. 

He even doesn’t take time to give her a last look. 

“ Hold him back. “ You whisper, looking at that stupid woman crying her eyes out, even if you know that she can't hear you. “Hold him back !” You shout, however, as always, no one hear you and she stands there. Her [y/e/c] eyes looks up as she drinks the rest of the beer. Quickly after that, she disapears and you're in your bed, sobbing like every night since Loki left.

Steve was and is right, you should stop. You should stop using your power and going back in time just to understand why the God of mischief left you. You should stop torturing yourself with your memories. But you just can't. When you try to forget, his face is always coming back to you as an evidence. His smile and then his eyes, his laugh and his kisses more than everything. 

You sit on your bed, trying to stop your cries.  The door opens sudently, and you turn your head as quickly as you could : who could come in your room without asking permission ? 

“Steve.” You say, not even trying to hide your sadness.You smile at him,as if you didn’t hope of someone else in front of view, as if you didn’t hope for Loki. “[Y/N]...Are you alright ?” Steve is one of your closest friend and you can’t help but burst in tears when he reaches you. No of course, she's not alright, she's crying,you idiot.  Thinks Steve as his arms make their way to you, pulling you into a hug.

“Shh...It's ok sweetheart, I'm here.”

Steve is the only person you need to recover from crying. He is loving and keeps an eye on you at every moment of the day and even sometimes at night. More than all, he’s too polite and too scared of hurting you to speak about Loki. He just listen to your question, dry your tears when you’re not fine and hug you to show you he cares about you.

Finally, after a few minutes,you stop crying but shivers still run through your body.You start to be sleepy and a yawn escapes your lips. His finds your forehead and in a caress he asks “ I can stay ?”, in fact it's more an affirmation than an question. However, you nod. God yes, you need someone to rely on, someone to dry your tears, someone to answer the questions you are asking yourself for months.

In a snort,  you put yourself closer to your friend’s chest as you ask : 

“ Why did he left ?”

Steve shrugs a little, his grip tighens, he doesn’t know the answer of your question.
