Celeborn/Lyrik Sorry, friend I need to know which one of them has cold-ass feet
responds to this like 600 years late
SEE IT’S A TOSS-UP
on the one hand, lyrik is always cold and hates the cold, but celeborn wouldn’t really care because Elf Nonsense, so lyrik could jump him and be like SUFFER AS I SUFFER and celeborn would just kind of chuckle and be like nah
on the other hand, celeborn could just be always cold and not notice/care because of his resistance to it, so like he could sneak up on lyrik and just press fucking freezing hands to the back of lyrik’s neck which of course would cause a loud yelp and some very distraught magical retaliation from the sorcerer. i can’t tell which one i like more :c
whoarethetrusted replied to your post:also like a couple years ago there was a kid who...
Dude I’m sorry we dragged you away from talking to her longer :(
no dude its ok i don’t blame you at all! i mean the crowds were absolutely wild it was completely unavoidable bc of the movement and stuff!! i just think its a bizarre coincidence!!
Alright whoarethetrusted, this is a challenge for you!
Write me the rest of this, and tell Lyrik, Gharol, and any of our followers who are watching this discourse a story about Celeborn’s most fantastic adventure!
"Pssttttt."
"Mm..."
"Is he... dead?"
"Gharol the word you want is-- you know what nevermind. When he wakes up, please ask him if he had a good death."
"Ja, okay!"
A soft musical giggle floats into your awareness through the black, coupled with a gruffer yet higher pitched giggle. Ah.
You know those giggles. You pry open your eyes to two grinning children smiling down at you in the hammock. Well, children by your standards, anyway.
"Hello Celeborn!" Gharol chirps at you, her eyes bright with excitement.
"He lives!" Lyrik laughs and flashes his teeth, white as his hair in his tanned face, in a smile. "We've been trying to wake you for so long I was worried you might be dead."
Gharol perks up at the word, and then looks quizzical, trying her best to speak in common.
"I... hope you had a good... death," she spaces each of her words out carefully, mulling them over with her tongue as she says them. At the end of her sentence, she nods confidently and turns to you expectantly. Lyrik stifles a giggle and you groan.
"And to what do I owe this awakening from my apparent death?"
You smile softly at Gharol, and she breaks into a smile as well. Not quite right, but her common is coming along very nicely.
"We have questions, Merc! Gharol and I want to know what the world is like beyond the sea, and you're the only one who's been out in it." Lyrik pauses, his mouth turning down ever so slightly as the thoughts tick by in his head. "Well, the only one who can remember anyway. Jeremy isn't a lot of help."
"Why not ask my brother?"
You know it's a silly question, and Lyrik's sour expression mixed with Gharol's even more furrowed brow answers the question for you.
"Right. Well what is it you have to know so badly that it couldn't wait until I awoke?"
Lyrik sits on the floor beside the hammock and Gharol sits beside him. They look just like excited children, waiting for a new story.
"Tell us about the most fantastic place you've ever visited, and don't skimp on the details," Lyrik says, smiling up at you. Despite his sarcasm, you can tell by the glimmer in his eyes that he is just as excited as Gharol for whatever you have to say.
You sigh and sit up in the hammock, scratching at your beard as you think.
"The most fantastic place I've ever visited? Let me think..."
Hello there! My name is James and I am working on a character for a D&D campaign, and I was wondering if you would not mind translating the name Celeborn into Sindarin? Would it be at all possible to also translate the last name "Bloodcrow"? If not, I completely understand. If you do not have the time right now, I appreciate your taking the time to read this and wish you well! Take care! - James G.
So sorry, I haven't been on my personal blog in what feels like ages! I would definitely be willing to help you out with some translation. Celeborn is actually already a Sindarin name! It's constructed out of two words: "celeb", for silver, and "orn", meaning tree.
As for "Bloodcrow", I would recommend using the word "Seregorch". It's another compound, constructed from "sereg" for blood and "corch" for crow. (The "ch" sound would be pronounced much like the "ch" in "Bach". )
