there’s so much more of this I wanted to draw but at the same time im… over drawing this lmao so, a speedy end – still gonna draw some left out Epi lines bc he breaks my heart lately :’((( anyway. here’s some quick choice quotes before the cut! I need you here. ...I'm just not going to go to sleep. 

after coming  back inside, Libby asked if Epi was planning on staying, to which he replied that – maybe?? he didn’t want to abandon them again, he didn’t want them to be left alone – he could work something out if he needed them there. …except yknow, unbeknownst to Epi, his sons & Libby and Chal have UHH,, been getting along quite well without him there whoopS. so they quickly assured him that they were fine, they were just fine hhHA,, no need to.. stay here….

however, before leaving, Epi finally thought to ask about Chal’s nightmares – as we know, Epi’s the god of nightmares, he had supposed to be monitoring chal’s dreams + keeping nightmares away from him, but then everything with Vryk happened, and Epi was too preoccupied to do so. but he’s better now! so he can fix it! before Chal could really think of a good excuse, Epi promised to take care of it and vanished.

‘cause the thing is, the nightmares are terrible but Chal’s got Bel now, who’s able to go in his dreams and hang out with him at night. and go on dream-dates with him. and kiss him. and tell him he loves him. and lbr even when Chal’s not having nightmares and Bel’s not there, it’s… all his good dreams are about Bel now anyway lmao. and if Epi’s now gonna snoop around in his dreams ….????? guess who’s getting busted…..?????????? y e Ah……… and in Chal’s mind, Epi and Eury finding out about him and Bel equals Epi and Eury flipping out and like, banning Bel from staying over there, or something ridiculous. But Chal’s a paranoid and irrational mess!

so what’s happened? Well, Chal’s panicked solution is that he’s just. not going to sleep. indefinitely! forget that he physically can’t just stay awake forever anymore – he’s mustering through. he hasn’t slept in like 5 days now, despite Bel trying to assure him that it’d be fine, that it’s gonna be fine, that he’s not going to leave :V this wacky fear + paranoia + anxiety + a new combo of insomnia/sleep deprivation making all those worse has resulted in uh. yeah. Yup. in the meantime Bel’s been worming through the sleep-deprivation-fog to try and get Chal to write apology letters as a shot at getting him out of the barrier.

it’s not permanent – he’ll calm down and fall asleep eventually. but for now! bab’s a wreck yet again

I like all characters in general because, I swear, that everyone has some kind of unique design on their character that I would have never thought  could actually be a thing
