Some of you might be sick of me talking about these whooping cranes already but look! About two and a half hours before and 190 miles southeast someone spotted and photographed what is probably the same six birds I saw. Also, even though there are 849 total whooping cranes in the world (up from 21 total in 1941), these 6 are out of a possible 101 we could have seen in this population. There are a lot of people rooting for you squawklers!
